^_^ Weee! Download in progress....

Anyone have it yet? What do you think? I can't wait to play it later.

Still, 1.5GB is a hell of file to download for my xbox. I only have about 3GB left, so I'll have to buy larger memory for it at some point and transfer everything across.

Still, added £8.50 of points and it's download. I'm very excited about this update. Love Liara T'soni and Overlord was very good. I'm buzzing.

I'm too busy today but I'll be getting it later. One thing I have to decide is which of my character's I'll be playing it first with.

It's out? If so, there was no sign of it on the front page when I was on just there. Alas, I'm a little skint at the moment, it's going to have to wait until I get my free MS points with Halo : Reach :)

well it WAS out for PC users...... http://www.joystiq.com/2010/09/07/bioware-working-to-fix-shadow-broker-mass-effect-2-dlc-for-pc/

I should know by now Bioware releasing 2 long awaited plot heavy DLCs on the same day was too good to be true.....but "witch hunt" is still on!

I just finished it and I gotta say it is a very fine piece of DLC. I'd probably go as far as to say it is on the same level as Overlord (which in my opinion was fantastic)!

The action is great and actually poses a challenge, I had to use more medi-gel than I am normally comfortable with. Oh, and it actually has bosses that are not related to the Collectors in any way! Hurray! The new locations are pretty damn epic too, especially one in particular. I won't say what it is, but when you see it you'll know what I am talking about.

Also, the rewards you get for beating it are just fucking sweet! Some are more "material" than others while some don't give you anything that improves your character in anyway, however they do provide some very... interesting bits. That's all I'll say to avoid any kind of spoiler.

All in all I loved it, but then again I am a massive Mass Effect 2 fan. Still, if you have the game and are able to download this then I recommend it whole heartedly!

Couple questions, do you get to interact with Liara while she's on your ship? By interact I mean actually talk to her and not activate static objects to make her talk while you listen.

I loved it. Downloaded it about an hour ago, and got all the achievements on the first playthrough.

I swear that one of the enemies you face is easily tougher than ANY other boss on insanity.

I'll just put this in a spoiler box, just to be safe.

While you do get to go into combat with Liara as part of your team, it is only for the mission of the DLC. She does not stay in your party once you are done with the extra content and is as such never really present on the Normandy as your other party members. However, she will remain at a certain location once you are done, and there you can interact with her in a similar fashion as your non-DLC team mates. I'm not sure if the dialogue change as you get further into the game, however she is definitely more talkative than at her desk on Illium.

Alright then, thanks for the info!

The DLC was all right. Depending on the class Shepard's using as well as the difficulty and player skill, the bosses are either a pushover or really annoying.

Currently downloading it myself. Taking forever. I started it at 5pm, and it is now 7:10pm. Almost done though...

I skipped a class today because I just couldn't wait any longer. Simply said, its well worth the price and better than anything I expected. Its finally given me the motivation to play through my main Shepard again (to make all my favorite decisions) so I can see the difference in how the DLC plays out if you haven't defeated the Collectors yet.

Downloaded and played through it today, and I have to say I was genuinely impressed with it. Haven't played through Overlord yet, but from what I've heard it's a good DLC too, but I've found that while Bioware does an excellent job in the game creation department (easily my favorite developer), they often fall short when it comes to DLC. In my opinion Lair of the Shadow Broker definitely bucked that tradition. I, and several of my friends were extremely dissapointed with Liara's involvement in the vanilla storyline of the first game, and I feel that this makes up for it nicely. As touted in the advertisements it does also allow you to continue your relationship with Liara to a degree, if you were one of the many who sat in your cabin staring at a picture of her before the final mission instead of getting it on with somebody else, than this is for you. There's a lot of good action and, because this is Bioware, a lot of good dialogue.

I think, including the DLC that they've released for Dragon Age, this is the best piece of DLC that Bioware has put out.

Im kinda dissapointed. My friend says its a great DLC, but what sucks is the DLC for dragon age ((Apptly named Witch hunt)) completely sucks! You more or less backtrack through 5 levels you were at before. I beat it in about an hour, finding every item my first time through. Bioware kinda put all theyer eggs into "Lair of the Shadow Broker" in hopes people wouldent notice how bad witch hunt is.

Poor Miranda is all I have to say.

Also it was pretty good, was surprised no Liara sex scene in it, you could have at least reshown the one from ME1.

I think it was a great DLC; someof the things I like that made if great was....

1 - The Gun Fights and Action was there and never dull, But at times I feel greatful for picking a Soilder Class cause I was letting loose a barage of weapons fire from my AS, Sniper and Shotguns (espeically during the "Boss" fights) Maybe its just me but I gotta try now with my Adept Shepard and see how much harder or easier the fight is.

2 - The Ending Info and Choices was in my opinion great and tied in very well - Near the end in the Big Room where the old Shadow Broker was you had a console you could invest in things like Informing Alliance about a Pirate Attack, or running a Smear campaign against a Corrupt Goverment offical; for some reasson I liked things like that and now I wanted to start a new game complete this DLC and see if there was new choices and such to make and influence.

Just my opinion ^_^

it was kind of short for a gig and a half
or maybe I'm just that good

I really liked talking to Liara about her relationship with Shepherd

"Garrus is calibrating more than just the Normandy's guns"

It was great and had a lot of variation. Bioware even addressed one of the community's biggest gripes and you can now retrain your ally's powers any way you want. This is especially useful because now you can get that one point that's always put into their new skill and redirect it into completing up to 3. The gameplay was fine and it kept you on your toes with new enemies and a different spin on squademates. I won't spoil anything but I will say it is the best DLC so far IMHO.
