So I just finished the Overlord mission pack for ME2 and I have to say, I loved it.
Sure it doesnt add anything new, but the storyline was pretty awesome, the platformish gameplay with the hammerhead was fun, and the ending was the first decision ever that really gripped me morally. I usually go for the renegade decisions, but this time around, I just couldnt do it.
So, if you finished it, what did you think? And how did you decide about David?

Yeah, I loved this DLC. Very different feel. It actually felt like a horror and had me as on edge as Alan Wake did. Particularly in the Prometheus base. The platformy bits with the Hammerhead but the last 10-15 minutes were especially trippy. I loved what they did with the graphics.

The ending morality choice was particularly moving. I had a hunch that there was going to be a twist with the scientist but that was more depraved than my imagination had dreamed up. I sent David to the Grissom Facility.

P.S. I laughed out loud at the Hammerhead computer's announcement of an "aesthetically pleasing viewpoint", too. It's right though. It was very VERY pretty. Interesting to see wildlife, too.

Easily the best DLC for ME2. Brought back some of the scale from ME1 on Aite with the Hammerhead, and showcased what fun it could be. Also got a bit of a System Shock 2 vibe from it. Was totally worth the points. The storyline was great, it had its creppy moments, brilliant atmosphere, and it just was overall an excellent bit of DLC.

Deffinately had a trippy atmosphere. You did feel like this AI was messing with your head. The ending was very touching, and incredibly sickening at the same time. One thing I dislike about DLC like this is that only Shepard will speak, and there's no party banter. I know that'd be unrealistic but surely they have this DLC planned when they produce the game and could have asked them to do a couple more lines at the time.

The Hammerhead sequences were fun, especially when I accidentily ran over an animal and the VI said "Humane Galaxy Group reminds you that all animals are people to." So then I shot them all for giggles. So yeah, overall an enjoyable experience, and thankfully someone knew that if you brought Legion along the scientist would notice and adds an extra line about him. If he didn't say anything it would be like if you went to the Flotilla with Legion and no one said a thing, thankfully that's not the case.

Good show Bioware.
