Mass Effect 2 pre-order, Wat?

I went to gamestop not even 2 hours ago to pre-order ME2 cause it's my birthday...Anyway I wanted to get the collectors edition with all the neat shiny stuff, and was on my way out with my receipt when I realized that had'nt sold me the CE just the regular version, So I went back inside and they said that they did'nt see the game in their system..When the guy who was doing the sale told me I was the CE...Wich leads me to believe he was going to pocket my money..Anyway back to the point, is gamestop not allowing pre orders of the Collectors edition of ME:2? and if so why do they think this is a good idea?...

I say you should probably try a different store, or pre-order it online.

I never had any problem with them with pre-orders or anything for that matter. They should have said they didn't see the CE, and asked for the regular one, that's what mine would have done. I'm surprised they didn't tell you right away.

Just keep the reciept for when it comes in. If it does then yay. If not get a fefund or just the vanilla copy with your extra money back. Or don't go to Gamestop.

I never had any problem with them with pre-orders or anything for that matter. They should have said they didn't see the CE, and asked for the regular one, that's what mine would have done. I'm surprised they didn't tell you right away.

Main reason I went to gamestop is becuase they had it on their website but it said not available on line or something weird thing is I cant find it now either..

Well, they should be allowing preorders of it as EB games here is, and they're owned by gamestop. I screwed up though and ordered the 360 version, so I had to get it changed to PC.

Probably means that Gamestop sucks (dont they all?)

You made me go check my receipt to see if the same thing has happened to me. It hasn't. Phew.

My guess is it was some kind of employee mistake that you should be able to fix pretty easily. I'm fairly sure Gamestop's going to let you change your preorder from the less expensive version to the more expensive one.
