From ME1? Yes. There are a lot more of them in ME2, so it isn't as large a boost as you might think.

Yes. These points add a little bit to your starting renegade/paragon meter. For example, a person with a lot of renegade points will probably have one bar of renegade filled when the game starts. If you had a mix of points, they still carry over so it doesn't matter if you weren't full paragon or renegade.

I disagree. If you were renegade in the first game and stick with renegade choices in the second game, you're right that they won't make much of a difference. However if you don't choose as many renegade choices in the second game, the points from ME1 can be the only things allowing you to pass speech checks that would otherwise be disabled. So the points can actually be very helpful as they give you more freedom with your choice without having to worry about your point balance.

Oh. In that case, no they don't. Your score will be reset to what it was at the beginning of your first playthrough. If you started with points carried over from the first game you'll still have those, and if you started with no points you won't have any

Oh. It's been a while, so I'm not sure on this, but I don't think they do. I'm pretty sure I remember being upset about that.

The wiki says "A portion of the character's Paragon/Renegade points (up to 190 each) are transferred over." I'm not sure exactly how much "a portion" is.
Edit: I didn't notice it was an ME2 Shephard carried over to a new game. With that being the case I'm not sure since I havn't done a second playthrough with my guy I took through 2 yet.

I brought over 150 and 140 paragon/renegade on two separate playthroughs and neither bar was maxed, almost though. Currently playing ME1 again and will be maxing paragon, I'll check out if a full max import is 190 or 200 or what ever.

It may not seem like much but considering you mostly get +2 for most normal conversations, 200 is a bar or two.

also since I'm at lvl 30 already are my conversation point bonuses i earned from my abilities gonna ever be applied.

This is a monumental dis appointment for me i love this game so much and it has to dis appoint me with something so ridiculous.
