Mass Effect 2 - Romance

For those who don;t know, there are 3 possible love interests in Mass Effect 2 if you play as male Shepard.

But for this thread I need people who have played Mass Effect 2.

I've been aiming to complete the romance with Miranda,nd have her at the right stage for it. But I've just paused the game at the stage where Jack's inviting me for casual sex. Will this ruin the romance with Miranda? Ideally I wanted to be the Captain Kirk of the Mass Effect world and try to get it on with Tali aswell, but I'm not sure that's possible.

Please, I need help fast, the game is paused!

For CASUAL sex? No, it will not effect your standing with Miranda.

It will and it will also stop you from having a relationship with Jack (And even to talk to her. Seriously, you won't even be able to have a conversation with her.) and you can't have a relationship with both Miranda and Tali without dumping one over the other.

If you really want to sleep with the entire cast, Dragon Age: Origins is for you. Granted, there are fewer options (thanks to a smaller cast), but in a given game you can successfully "romance" all three options for a given gender (That is, Zeveran, Leliana and Morrigan for a male, Zeveran, Leliana and Alistar for a female). Of course, you will have to terminate one relationship before moving on to the climax of the next and such a course all but ensures you won't have a particularly good standing with 2 of the 3 options.

The way I understand it is if you do jack she will hate you and so will every other woman on board. I'll probably do it just to see how that turns out in Mass Effect 3.

Well, the Mass Effect world is advanced. And sex is just sex, there wouldn't have necissarly have been any feeling there. I think Tali could get that, maybe not Miranda.

Hmm, I didnt know you could romance Kelly. I've flirted with her, but at the moment she's 'not on the bridge'

Um, I don't know what game everyone else is playing, but you CAN have casual sex with Jack (and Kelly for that matter) without ruining your relationship with Tali/Miranda. Jack will barely talk to after that point, but if you don't care, then, well, go for it.

If you turn down her advances for casual sex however, then you can pursue a romance option with her later on as well.

In sum, everyone who said it will ruin your other relationships are either ignorant or sadly mistaken.
