Mass Effect 2 scares me.

When I heard that mass effect 2 was being made, I was horrified to play my mass effect 1. This is because I had a feeling that my loved link like protagainist would be put onto the second game, and if I erased him it would not. But sadly I did, and sadly, I learned you can upload a old file. I am scared because I made another character in ME1 and I wanted him to be evil. I didn't like him to much. So on one hand I am afraid if I upload the ME1 file I will get this evil noob guy, and on the other hand I have things like the love story achivement so It may pick up my old character. What do you think? Am I doomed to play as the noob? Do I need to start all over in mass effect 1 and try to remake my character and make each choice? Or do I not need to worry? HELP ME ESCAPIST YOUR MY ONLY HOPE...maybe.

And i think there will be a menu for picking what character you want to re-use. But if you erased the data... tough luck. It won't pick him up just from achievements.

I have, like, 4 or 5 Mass Effect characters to choose from!
I'm sure it'll be a menu system that asks you which character you want to play with.
So don't fret, young Specter.

Don't fret so much, it's only a game.
Something gives me the idea that Mass Effect 2 will allow you the choice to play as either 'good' and 'bad' Shepards. (A game by the name of The Suffering 2: Ties That Bind has something similar to this before.)

In any case, if all else fails - just play Mass Effect 2 as a standalone game.

When you choose to import a save in ME2, you get to pick which save to use and after you do it gives you a quick overview of the choices you made.

Just play through it again. I had to get a new 360 a while ago, and I'm in that process right now. Just play through again exactly as you did the first time.

play through again, its worth it, from what ive been reading up, if you start out with no back story (where all going to be Shepard, no two ways about it) you get a different (But im guessing more canon) Story.

im buying the DLC and playing through again with my very first Shepard, and again as my Shepard vanguard to tweek the story to my liking to see what happens in ME2.
