I need help on the suicide mission in Mass Effect 2.

Immediately after getting the Reaper IFF, I activate Legion. I then receive his loyalty mission, and I plan to finish it before taking the fight to the collectors. Then the Collector raid hits the ship, and only Joker is left.

When I go straight in to the Omega 4 Relay, I can save the whole crew, but Legion always dies. If I wait and do Legion's mission before entering, then Kelly and Gabby always die before I can save them.

How do I get Legion's loyalty as well as save the entire crew of the Normandy? Any help would be nice.

If you visit any other planets between Legion's loyalty mission and going to Omega 4, part of the crew will die. You have only time for that one mission before you get screwed.

You have to do the loyalty mission to keep Legion alive, but you can literally do *nothing else* after getting the IFF

So, just "one" mission, and Kelly will still survive? Okay, I'll try it that way.

If the one above doesn?t work out for you, have legion not do an specialty missions and take the doctor guy and the human women(Forget her name) having people like grunt, garrus etc. decrease the chance of people surviving the last stand.

When ever i do the combat bits i take them cos they pritty shit in combat so you don't have to worry about them pulling the team down.

Is legion the only non-loyal, cos never take a non-loyal person with you.

Exactly this... protect Legion by not selecting him for special missions, and always leave the strong party members behind like Garrus, Grunt and Zaeed, along with Legion. They will ensure he survives.

Its funny how being around Shepard is fatal, but in all seriesness how the fuck does being not loyal make you more likely to die. Wouldn't make you more likely to survive since you won't be following the guy like a headless chicken.

I think the loyalty also affects the team's unity, and therefore unity cohesion, which affects their effectiveness and therefore chances of survival. It's a bit contrived, but that's roughly it.

Also an excuse to get you to do otherwise pointless side quests.

I'll buy that, but i think it was all a markiting stunt "You will be going on a suicide mission, you will need to prepare your ship and crew, you all might not make it" crafty bastards

In the arguement between Legion & Tali which option did you chose? If you told legion to F*** off, he's no longer loyal, you have to pick the paragon(blue text)/renegade(red text) option, either way, tali and legion won't lose loyalty if you pick those options.

You're allowed to do Legion's mission before the Collector's hit you, or at least that's how it happened in my game, then you have to convince both Tali and Legion that they need to stop fighting, and then you've got his loyalty. You also need to make sure that everyone is doing the right job when it comes to the final mission.

I normally get everyone (except Legion) get the IFF, do Legion's mission, then it's all dandy. 3 times and not a single death!

yea something is off you should have lest one mission to do before the collectors take your crew. hence it goes goto the iff ship get iff and legion get back to normandy activate legion right away talk to him a time or two get his loyalty mission, do his loyalty mission get back, then next time you goto the map you get the comms about meeting at the shuttle, then crew gets abducted.

your game either bugged out, which has never happened to me the 4 times i have done it, or you got the iff and landed somewhere before turning legion on and talking to him. eityher way load an earlier save and just redo the iff mission or just before.

Think about it this way, when legion dies he panics. If he were loyal and trusted shepard he would stay calm and there wouldn't be an issue. It's the same reason that they refer to a military unit as a band of brothers, or they call these men your brothers, etc. in basic training. When you're willing to die for someone you're also much more likely to prevent any sort of death from occurring.

It's possible to complete the suicide mission even when some are unloyal without casuelties.

The following link is to a guide explaining how to survive the mission.
