Should be able to, yes. It'll just look for your saved game wherever it is.Ayuvir said:Btw I have the non-steam version of ME1(PC version ofc) and just bought the digital delux edition on steam of ME2, will I still be able to load my ME1 Profile?

quoting the actual discussion here.Loop Stricken said:Levels 35, 50 and 60 I believe.
And yes, you can choose which profile to import, as long as that character has actually completed the game - ME2 uses the "New Game +" info so if your Shepard was lv55 when you finished, then you started a new game + and got it to 60, you'd need to finish the game again for it to be recognised as lv60.
Book several days off work/school/whatever. Buy it tomorrow. Lock yourself in a room & play it as a Renegade & a Paragon then purchase no.2 on day of launch.duchaked said:I've gotten really interested in Mass Effect 2...but since I haven't played the first one, I may have to borrow a copy of the first and do a quick run through (well...as "quick" as I can manage with an RPG lol)
Plus it allows for Joker snark-awesome-ness....Rancid0ffspring said:EDIT: When playing as a renegade disconnect the council when ever you can. Makes you more of a badass

CaseyH-ME2: For Guest-15 - We have a similar power progression system as ME1, but the powers are significantly upgraded to make each class really powerful and more unique in combat. That means that there is no direct conversion from ME1, but we did want to make sure your hard work in developing your ME1 character is rewarded. So, you'll get more points to apply to your starting character if you were a level 40, 50, or 60 character.

I was sure lv35 was mentioned. Ho hum.
Whoops. My bad. Now I feel dumb hahaorannis62 said:From what I understand, everyone thinks Shepard is dead for a couple years, then you just happen to run into Tali on Freedom's Progress [http://masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Freedom%27s_Progress] (basically this game's Eden Prime), then Garrus on Omega. Hmm, this has me wondering what happens at the start of the game so that they don't be a part of your squad. I hope that Bioware doesn't drop a bridge on them just to get em out of the way for a new bunch of characters. I liked Liara and Wrex.
The tenth character is probably Legion as others have mentioned, should be cool. That was Subject Zero.DeMoNxDaVe said:What about Prodigy? For those have seen the Cinematic Trailer remember that part where there's like a cryo (cuz I don't know what to call it) chamber with a bunch of guards around it and then the guy blast them with Biotics? Or is that just Samara cleverly disguised?
Hopefully I'll be knocking boots with Tali by that point so I couldn't care less.WillSimplyBe said:eh it happens.Loop Stricken said:'kay!WillSimplyBe said:quoting the actual discussion here.Loop Stricken said:Levels 35, 50 and 60 I believe.

Anyway, i really wonder what the relationship dynamic will be like this time around, since the crewmembers of ME1 WILL return in ME3... will people cheat on their romantic interrests of ME1? I'm sure everyone probably will and then make a file where they don't. It seems that Shepard might just end up getting whats coming to him in the love department if he does...
hope i took that quote right...Loop Stricken said:Hopefully I'll be knocking boots with Tali by that point so I couldn't care less.![]()
yeah, we know that now, we are now pretty much just using this as a general hub for info about ME2.RatRace123 said:The ??? party member is Legion, one of the achievements points at it being a geth.
So it's either Legion or some other badass geth voiced by Wesker.
Ah, well in that case, did anybody see the Soldier class reveal? Looks like I will be playing as a soldier on my first run after all.WillSimplyBe said:yeah, we know that now, we are now pretty much just using this as a general hub for info about ME2.RatRace123 said:The ??? party member is Legion, one of the achievements points at it being a geth.

Vanguard all the way... _> and then Engineer. They are both looking great this time around.RatRace123 said:Ah, well in that case, did anybody see the Soldier class reveal? You can meet at least Wrex in-game, he just won't be on your squad. And from what I've heard saving him makes the universe a very different place. I wouldn't be surprised if the others have a similar situation.MasterKirov said:So let me get this straight - even f I save Garrus/Ashley/Kaiden etc from a horrible end in the Virmire mission, IF THEY LIVED THEY DON'T COME BACK?!?!
So much for making choices...
I wonder how he will get along with the rest of the team... since its supposed to be as important to get them to work together as it is for them to trust and follow Shepard.T3h Merc said:Legion seems like a more interesting character. SuZe seems like a complete psycho. I don't think it'll be worth it having her around. Sure, she can clear a room with a sneeze but she'll probably kill people without my say-so. Not fucking okay.WillSimplyBe said:I wonder how he will get along with the rest of the team... since its supposed to be as important to get them to work together as it is for them to trust and follow Shepard.T3h Merc said:Legion seems like a more interesting character. Also, from what i've heard, you do not have to recruit a character merely because they are on the list. A lot of them are optional characters. Being a Shepard that usually swings Paragon,(only renegade when he's pissed) I don't know how well I could get someone like SuZe to work well with me.
Yeah. Same thing with Grunt. Meh... Grunt... I want to give him the benefit of the doubt, but he seems like a wannabe wrex, only not as smart... I don't know If i want him either. Which is fine by me losing both of them since I'm the vanguard of my team anyway.T3h Merc said:SuZe seems like a complete psycho. I don't think it'll be worth it having her around.
