I'm guessing I'm not the only one who's bought into the hype hook, link and sinker? And thinks this will be the bestest best game in the history of forever.

T'will be good. Best ever? Perhaps. Probably not. There's always room for improvements.

I enjoyed the first one. Only because I made the ugliest unfortunate ever because of the sex scene I knew was coming up.

Good game though.

Every day leaves me more and more anticipated for this game; it just looks like it's going to be awesome in every single way.

I hear ya clicketycrack. I've never really gotten into it (despite the 6 hours I played), weird because I usually love these kind of games to death. I didn't like the combat, the exploring was overwhelming (not in a good way), driving the car sucked, the story bothered me and much more small stuff.

I'll probably still get Mass Effect 2, hoping I'll like it more.

I don't buy it. It's been too much hype and Mass Effect wasn't that good. By no means bad, but if you don't cringe when I say 'elevators' you have too much patience for your own good.

I also don't like BioWares sex-hypes. ME1 had it, DA:O had it, big piece and blogging about too show a nipple or not ffs, then they release it and it has less nudity in it then MTV. And no I'm not a pervert but I dislike the whole "Ooh were sooo edgy and pushing the envelope on this one" BS only to receive something slightly less edgy then a ball.

BioWare has such a name in the RPG community, if you ever leveled and liked it you already have this on your list to get or pre-ordered it, they shouldn't and they need not hype and create unwarranted controversy.

I said the same thing about Spore.

Anyways, my opinion of this game rests solely upon how Bioware has changed the planetary exploration element of the game. If that part has not improved, than I will not be able to call Mass Effect 2 a good game.

Why do people mention the elevator scenes so much? A better example of how boring the game could be was exploring every single desolate ball of rock and dirt in the galaxy.
