So just got a 360 the other day and my first game for it was mass effect, and i fecking love it!!!!!! but my biggest problem with it is the cover system, just going in and out of cover is bad, wish ya could press A to go into cover! so hopefully they will have fixed it in ME2, so what other things do you hope they fix in ME2?

I just really want to continue the story, and see the effect of my actions.
Your actions, for the most part, had little effect on the actual game. I'm hoping that my actions in number 1 actually have things somewhat changed. They obviously can't make the game a bunch of times for every action from ME1, but I want to see a real difference.

Reading the thread about Mass Effect 2 being like The Empire Strikes Back, I'm too busy worrying about if there will be awful Mass Effect Prequels after the third Mass Effect is released.

I've seen enough of Hayden Christensen for a lifetime.

As far as I know, they've fixed all my complaints from the first one.

I'm not sure if it's longer than the first one, but I certainly hope it is. It took more time to download the game than to play it.

The bland planetary exploration and terrible Mako controls. It's still on of my favourites, though. I'd be getting ME2 even if the gameplay was unchanged.

I just ordered the Special Edition for the PC (it was just as expensive as the regular one), even though I didn't love the original as much as I thought I would. Everything outside the main quest was, sadly, just too bland and dull. I mean, all planets were as good as dead, such a shame.

If they fix just that, and make the universe a really vivid place (because I know it has that potential), ME2 can become one of my favourite games.

Less of this: Having just arrived on a planet for the first time you have to travel around a small area learning the life stories of almost everyone you meet. These boring minor characters will eventually tell you where to go in a vague and frustrating manner. For example they might say "Go to the hangar." I've only been on this planet 5 minutes, you're the first person I've spoken to. Some directions would be nice.

From what I've read, they've fixed everything:

-The Mako (is gone)
-Planet exploration
-Side quests
-Combat
-Texture problems
-The cover system

They need to fix the framerate on the 360 version. During heavy gunfights it got really annoying, but definatly not un-playable.

Along with the natural progression of the story (which is great, by the way), what I really want to see in Mass Effect 2 is some improved FPS mechanics.

Cliff Blesinski himself said that "The future of FPS is in RPGs," and while games like Bioshock and the original Mass Effect are considered pioneers in the "FPSRPGs" (we really need to find a new name for these games, folks) they never really sold me on the genre. I'm simply hoping that Mass Effect 2 sets the perfect formula in place.

BioWare have never half-assed a project before (with the exception of the game that shall not be named [http://www.gamepro.com/gamepro/domestic/games/features/images/176750-10-1.jpg]), so I have unreasonably high expectations for Mass Effect 2. If they can perfect the shooting mechanics, they'll have created a masterpiece.

I second that motion.

You know what's funny about the Mako is that it actually take more time to shoot down an energy barrier with the Mako gattling gun than with the Spectre Sniper Rifle

I for one am lgad that they added Rocket Launcher they were defitively lacking

I'd be kinda worried if they did that. If they try to improve on one thing, chances are they'll forget about the other. It will either end up like a shooter with RPG elements or an RPG with shooter elements. There won't be a balance, and balance is what I want.
But it's BioWare. I'm sure they'll be careful on that.

Oh, and a good replacement for FPSRPG would be RPS. Role Playing Shooter.

Well, I head that they're going into a Gears of War style combat, with guns feeling chunky, and "press A to stick to the wall" cover system, so I think this may damn well be my perfect game.

If this is bad, I think I will actually kill Bioware for destroying a large amount of my faith.

I think i remember in an explanation of the first 90 minutes of ME2, the guy said that the framerate was improved, i think it was Gamespot or IGN.

The elevators. THOSE DAMN ELEVATORS. At least they offered some neat dialogue and even a quest or two. I hear they are going to make it more involved, but I at least hope they keep the character interaction.

Seeing that they've fixed everything I was annoyed by in the original, I am quite hyped.
