I don't want to get my hopes up, but if LotSB was around 1.5 GB, can I hope for more gameplay on the EC if it's clocking at 1.9 GB? Thoughts?
1.21 GIGAWATTS!!
Great Scott! it's going to send the Xbox back in time to before March 6th and stop this terrible terrible fame from ever seeing the light of day.
They realized they can't fix it so they need to make sure it never happened.
If they really wanted to Make ME 3 better maybe this patch is going to put back all the dialog.
They're going to put back the Renegade personality.
There's going to be an entire add-on where Anderson is on the Council.
There's going to be a scene where The Illusive Man remembers that giant Collector base you gave him.
The patch could contain Liara's emotions!
Maybe the patch will make the council remember that time you saved their lives?
Or a scene of Marauder Shields dancing on your grave.
You know most of that is just going to be more pictures of Tali's face.
Honestly I'd be satisfied if it was just 6 hours of James doing chin-ups
I can't just poke fun at how bad Mass Effect 3 was for the entire comment can I?
Alright I'll make a prediction...
Indoctrination theory? If you picked the destroy option you wake up back in London and then...um, you go back through the beam and actually open the Citadel arms, then the Crucible actually docks and it does what ever it was supposed to do in the first place.
That doesn't sound any better. They seriously fucked themselves, first with an awful game but this ending just can't be redeemed.
I'm beginning to think the best case scenario is just "where are they now" cards.
But If they don't change the ending Where they are now is starving to death on the Lost Island planet.
I guess the up side is that it can't get worse from here.
Oh, fuck why did I have to go and say that.
The Extended Cut is just going to Red Ring your Xbox and wipe your hard drive. then get your Gamerscore reset, then get you banned from Xbox Live. (Or what ever the PS3 equivalencies of those things are)
There's no scene you can add to the end of the game to fix anything.
They could show what happens if you cured the Genophage, but it doesn't matter because the Krogans are all stuck on Tuchanka anyway.
They could show what happens to the Quarians and geth, but it doesn't matter either.
They could show the Turians rebuilding Palavin but why?
People complain about a lack of closure, but I think the real problem is a lack of things to close. If the real problem was lack of closure then all the people with half an imagination wouldn't be complaining.
Mass Effect had a built in weakness of the scope being universal and personal at the same time so we can't care about anything in between. Because we don't care about "the Krogans" we care about the Krogans we know, and we care about the effect the Krogans have on the universe but we don't actually give a shit about "Tuchanka"
By taking away the Mass Relays at the end of the game they removed the "Universe" from our realm of empathy because the planets can't communicate with each other anymore. So now we're down to personal and all the individuals we care about are either on the Citadel or on the Lost Island planet or somewhere in the vicinity of earth getting Citadel rained down on them. (Assuming any of these planets still exist after all the Mass Relays are done exploding)
God I forgot just how bad the end of ME 3 was.
I don't even... god dammit now I'm all depressed again. I'm going to go cry and eat raw cookie dough. and if the Extended Cut actually fixes anything I will squint at the screen and say "Well played Extended Cut, you win this round."
And if it fixes everything I'll eat my own face and post the video on Youtube
