Because there aren't enough ME3 threads already. However, I feel this is pretty important, and not specifically about ME3. It's about the shitty situation we're all in.

It's actually the the same SecuROM system used for the non-steam version of DA2, but the difference between the two is that EA said the non-steam version of DA2 would have DRM, and DA2's DRM wasn't on the Steam version, while with ME3 they haven't said a word and it's installed on top of Origin. And it's not mentioned anywhere in the various EULA's you have to agree to before installing the game (which all add up to about 22-fucking-thousand words of legalese).
So, what do you do if you don't take kindly to them installing a pretty infamous program on your PC without telling you or asking if it's ok? Well, you can't complain to EA directly since if you do so on their forums you run a pretty good risk of getting banned from all your EA games. You can't go all class-action on them with others for installing something on your PC without informing you or with your consent since they put in "you can't all sue us at once" in their EULA. And since chances are most of us aren't rich enough to sue them 1-on-1, that's out as well. Which leaves arbitration, which is stacked in their favor, or to hope that EA cares about their customers enough to... well that last part is pointless since it's obvious they already don't give a shit.
So yeah, that's that I guess. Just wanted to bring it all to your attention.
I also find it kind of sad that gamers will fucking explode when some story details aren't to their liking or when Bioware decides to use a few stock photos for something, yet when crap like this is happening nobody bats a damn eyelash.
