I disagree, while at this point I dont think it spells doom I think this is a trend that should fuck right off.....as in "stop getting your filthy multiplayer in my single player!"weker said:It would have been foolish not to, its the last in the series and people what to keep the experience going. Single player for the first two and the third leaving with multiplayer.
it doesnt do anything for the games in question other than give parts of them a lifespan and take away what could go to single player (or to put it another way, sew an extra arm onto a healthy person, except that arm is eventually going to lose circulation and die, becoming a dead rotting fleshy mess)
and as Jim said, are we so friggen ADD that we cant enjoy a good experience more than once? I've replayed the ME series many times, if its good enough then thats replay value in itself,
plus if you were playing a multiplayer mode that wasnt co-op your not actually enjoying the BEST parts of what ME has to offer, also even CO-OP takes your attention away from..well you know the imersion and story
I imagine thats why in Portal 2 singe player and co-op were seperate modes
