Mass Effect 3 Squad

I was actually just thinking about this earlier today. My idea is that you go on a mission with any two characters, and when you return to the Normandy, something terrible happens, causing the rest of the crew to abandon ship or be captured, and you have to rescue or find them again. That way, you could start the game with any two squad mates (Tali and Legion), and they would be with you to rescue the rest of your team.
Spoilers ahead.
I think the game will make you chose between Wrex and Grunt at some point because I think Grunt will try to take over Clan Urdnot, in which case I'll choose both on different saves
Garrus will be there, but depending on how you molded him(aka letting him kill doctor saleon or not in ME1 and letting him kill Sidonis or not in ME2) he will be either a real stand up
guy, or ruthless like Saren.
Tali will either be a fleet admiral for the Quarians or come back to lead some kind of revolt(if exiled). That said, she won't be a squadmate. You might say: "What about the romance?" I say: No idea, but if you didn't romance her and Reegar lived, guess who gets her.
Legion will be there(if you didn't send him to Cerberous,) but even if he's not, you will probably be able to control the Geth(Via Overloard and Quarian help).
Mordin will be there, he will either cure the genophage or not, depending on how you influenced him.
Miranda, well if you saved the collector base sure, if not and she sided with you, that will cause problems because Cerberous is hiding her sister.
Samara said something about "call upon me and I shall come"(on my paragon save) and when you first recruit her she said"I may have to kill you after our task is complete if I find you go against the code, so if your a renegade, she'll probably try to kill you.
Jack-Homicidal Killer if you encouraged her to shoot that guy in her old cell, if she spared him, perhaps not but with Jack, who really knows?
Ashley/Kaiden(baby boy as I call him) Might not join you if your still Cerberous, I don't fully know how this will go down.
Liara- I have no clue, if she becomes a squadmate after Lair of the Shadow Broker, that could be problematic. Either way if she comes into the next game, she will be the one to join you no matter what path you take(granted this is before Lair of the Shadow Broker so her attitude will most likely depend on that mission)
Thane: Well he will be in the game, perhaps on his deathbed, or maybe theres a cure and you can find it, maybe Mordin cures him, not sure, but seeing how popular he is, I'm 100% sure he'll be there in some capacity.
Kasumi: Well whatever was on the Graybox will come back to haunt her, and it will be interesting to find out what beg secret was on there.
Zaeed- This I don't know, maybe he leads the Blue Suns if you killed Viggo, but if not and did the paragon way, I have no clue, he may not even be a squad member, if not, good riddance old man.
Jacob: Don't care at all, no theories on this guy. Maybe he'll get a dog.
SPEAKING OF DOGS, wouldn't it be cool if there was a German SHEPARD on the Normandy?
New Squadmates: There will be some for sure, especially if you killed off almost everyone in the final mission.
As you can tell, I love talking Mass Effect.

That's a fantastic list but it wouldn't be surprised if it didn't happen. A large portion of those ten characters could be dead by the time the third game comes along. In one of my playthroughs, only four of them are alive. In my other playthrough they are all alive. Considering the huge variability that would create serious problems.T3h Merc said:
You're not alone. I'm pretty sure they are far and away the most popular characters. I think they should get a spin off shooter. And what follows is basically non stop Garrus and Tali killing a bunch of bandits/pirates/geth/guys with stupid haircuts.
Have ridiculous cut scenes, like Tali beating the crap out of a gang or Garrus sniping somebody while base-jumping from a building. Have a slow motion scene of Tali in a waterfall flipping her head back, but in the full enviro-suit. Have all kinds of Asari and other females swoon over Garrus.
Essentially, make a game with those two where the whole thing is a parody of fan-service, because the fan favorites are a lizard/cat-alien thing and a girl trapped in a space suit. Charge $30 for it, have Bioware get all the shooter out of their system, and then make Mass Effect 3, with all the RPG stuff back in place. Maybe people with saves from the Garrus/Tali Adventures get a bonus ability for those two characters, or the planet you saved shows up briefly in Mass Effect 3. Or don't, I don't care, I just thing this would be an amazing game.
kal'reegar needs to be on your team and he has to be one of the romances
he's the only person who could sway Shepherd away from Garrus

one cool thing would be a girl who is seeking revenge on Shepherd for either killing her sister (Ashley) or her boyfriend from Jump zero (Kaidan) depending on who you left for dead in ME 1. that would be awesome
and Tali should be back and have a pillow fight with Liara
I heavily doubt that anyone from ME 2 will carry over in any significant way except maybe the romances, so Mordin, Samara, Legion, Kasumi, Zaeed, and Grunt have probably been reduced to bit parts. that makes me sad...sad for Legion
But if Bioware were awesome and wanted to make the best game of all times they'd let you have your entire team consisting of everyone who survived ME 2, Everyone left over from ME 1, everyone I mentioned above, Jason Statham, Angelina Jolie, Duke Nukem, and Batman

Although my favorites are Wrex, Thane, Legion an Liara I think only Liara will be a squad member in ME3.
This is what I think will happen:
Liara, Tali, Garus, Williams/Alenko, Miranda, Jacob, Mordin and Grunt will definetly be around because all of them where potential love interests (except for Mordin and Grunt) and Bioware said they will be rewarding love interests in the third game.
I am not sure whether Jack and Legion will be joining. For Jack it's just a feeling and for Legion, the fact that he arrived late in ME2 and he is not actually one person although I am pretty sure there will be a side quest regarding him and the geth in general.
Wrex definitely won't be in the squad due to his current situation, Thane will die (there will probably be a cutscene somewhere in the beginning about it), Samara/Morinth was there just to fill Liara's position as an asari in the squad and the two DLC squad member definitely won't be in ME3 because it won't be fair to those who didn't get them.
. I would like a few new squad members like a batarian (although they are ugly, the Arrival DLC gave me hope that they won't a game cliche, although the varren probably will) or another turian since they are the coolest species in ME. I would also like to see a hanar at least as a Normandy crew. Since elcor and volus are comic reliefs their best shot is probably Kenneth and Gabby stile crew.
As for the plot, the side quests will probably be traveling to the origin planets of the major races since we've already seen Tuchanka and the Migrant Fleet. I'm really looking forward to seeing the turian and hanar homeworld (I think it was suggested by Thane that the hanar live underwater). As for the asari homeworld, we've already seen Illium so I'm guessing it won't be very different.

They could have announced it for all I know (and I don't want to know, so don't quote me and tell me), but I'm hoping Garrus won't be on my squad. His Shadow Broker files said his leadership is being squandered while under Shepard's command, so I really want to see him leading his own crew. I think that would be a nice touch.

I'd like a mix - any of the characters from ME1 and ME2 pickable [if they lived and haven't gone on to greener pastures of course], with let's say three new characters. You could have them all on your ship and available, but ocassionally they could become hurt in battle or vital to the mission to be used or what not.
No particular characters I didn't like in any ME game [bar Ashley, just irritated me], but a squad of eight: Thane, Legion, Miranda, Liara, Garrus, Mordin, Tali, Wrex/Grunt. Don't care what you do, Thane is coming with me. [Haven't played Kasumi/Zaeed yet though so can't really decide them D:]

Lol only 4 people after my Mass Effect 2 game survived (including Shepard).I've broken this up into two strike-teams. There's a slight possiblity I might be screwed. It's all down to this...
