Hello, I know there is a huge debate over the DLC stuff and I have finally given up hoping Steam would get to launch Mass Effect 3. I now have a question that seems like something I should be able to figure out myself but I cannot, so I'll ask you guys.

I am planning on preordering ME3. My plan was to preorder for instore pick up at Gamestop. Up until the From Ashes stuff, I was going to get the base game, 60 dollars. Now with the DLC being released, I have the problem of do I spent the 20 dollars for the collectors edition or just 10 for the DLC.

I understand that the Collectors Edition has several other things besides just the From Dust DLC, however I do not want any of the gear or books. I just want in-game content. From what I read the ingame content is some new character outfits, some guns, and a "robotic dog". If that is all I get I don't want to pay an extra 10 dollars.

So in short, is it worth getting the Collectors edition for 10 dollars more or just get the base game and the DLC.

This isn't about the whole controversy, just as someone who wants to get the game, is there anything I am going to miss by just getting the game and the DLC?

Subnote: The collectors edition is no longer available for PC according to gamestop, which doesn't make sense, I'll cross that bridge if I come to it.

If you only want the in-game DLC then no, it's not.

In terms of what it has to offer, the physical items like the Lithograph is what I'm looking forward too, as well as that metal case, the artbook, as well as the digital items like the dog and weapons. But it really just depends on what you want to get.

And unless you have a small gaming store nearby, you won't be finding an ME3 CE, EA/Bioware only made a limited amount of them and they sold out in major retailers back in January, but smaller places might still have them if you check. But you will probably have to settle with the $70 instead of the Collector's Edition
