Not a troll, for some reason the images only seem to show up have the time. Try refreshing maybe.
I'm gonna put them back up from a different source in a moment though :)
Pro-tip - 4chan doesn't allow hotlinking of images, which is why the pictures didn't show up.

OT: Looks pretty cool. I was disappointed with the levelling up in the last game, this looks a little deeper.

one P/R meter that pits the two directly against each other making it even less available to the roleplaying the series was founded on by having options contrary to the P/R scheme actually be detrimental to the player? A return of ammo powers that are activated during missions as opposed to weapon mods that we could just attach once and be done with it? Well, at least it's not like DA2's "trees" that were even more restrictive than linear leveling.

Also, is it just me, or does male Shepard always look like a sex offender no matter what you do to his face?

Lesson learned. Not a normal resident of 4chan.

It seems reactions are generally positive.

See Bioware, your fans are not impossible to please.
Just don't don't make dumbass game design choices and your golden.

Wow, nice to see the "OMG it isn't RPG enough I'm not going to buy it but I'm going make sure EVERYBODY knows how bad it is" crowd is already out.

Look, Mass Effect 1 was a great game in many ways, but the gameplay, inventory and levelling systems were simply bad. No, having decent combat mechanics does not somehow make a game any less of an RPG. ME2's inventory had far more choice than the first, which consisted of 'choose gun with biggest numbers, sell rest'. In ME2, using shotguns as an example, you could have the 'single blast blow face off' Claymore, the rapid fire Scimitar for tactical fighting or a choice of 3 happy mediums. No such choice in 1. And a game in which you have to wait a dozen levels before you can shoot a gun straight is JUST NOT FUN.

Mass Effect has never pretended to be an old school RPG. Go and play Dragon Age or KOTOR if you want that. If you want an epic blend of fast, fun (you know that thing) combat with a story involving you Role Play through a ridiculously dramatic series of events, then load up Mass Effect.

Ok, now that is out of my system...

This looks like a pretty cool screen, blending the best parts of MEs 1 and 2. Keeping the feel of 2 in that each upgrade will feel tangible rather than "Ooh yeah 2% radius increase SCORE", though I am disappointed they kept the ammo system. I hope they at least return weapon mods to the field.

Grenades back, excellent (I loved the flash/inferno grenades from the DLC but they were pretty clunky to use), and the option to give Shepard team-mate boosting powers also makes a lot of sense.

But we already know they nailed good gameplay with ME2, and slipped slightly with the story. Let's hope they can bring it back to ME1 levels of epicness (and relevance... I couldn't help feeling most of ME2 was fluff leading to a mission Cerberus could have sent anyone to do...) and make the best game ever!

Yuck. ONE Paragon/Renegade meter, I hope it doesn't regress to the old "You can have one or the other, but not both" style. That would be unpleasant.

Open window.
See the karma meters.
Speak: Those look like they're from KOTOR.
Remember: You couldn't really change party members in KOTOR, just gave you an idea of who you would piss off.

This looks a lot like ME2. That being said, it does look crisp, clean, and the color choice is slightly more visually pleasing.
What else is there to say? It's a friggin level up and stats screen. I WILL NOT be excited by a level up screen. That being said, more splits in skills could be nice.
Also, the last picture looks kind of fuzzy.

Looks like a level cap of 30 unless Liara and Garrus are only there for a short time. Even if Shepard is the only person getting more than one skill point per level.

Damn, grenades are a skill. Still, I like what I see. Cleaner than ME1 but with more to offer than ME2.

Anyway, looks good overall, looking forward to see more.

Doesn't look like it really changed much added a few more options, it's still probably the same distribution of skill points. Whatever, I don't play Mass Effect for the roleplaying anyway (not being sarcastic either, I think both games were terrible when it came to that, still enjoyed them). Still looks better than ME2's screen however.

Not really hyped for ME3 all that much still.

Well, from what I can tell, this is the exact same as ME2, but they've added in one or two more abilities (Frag grenade [do we HAVE to have an ability for this?] and Fortitude [Which may just be that extra one you got in ME2 anyway] for Shepard)

The Para/Ren bar being merged into one might be interesting. From the screens, we can't garner much as the bars haven't even started to be filled or anything so, either they are complete and the team played as full Renegades, or its incomplete. That, or theres something I'm not getting.

On the upside, they seem to have kept the abilities that made the classes special in ME1 (Adrenaline Rush Soldier, hopefully they've got the rest like the Vanguard's Biotic Charge.

I'm actually curious about the second image though. If that is a skill upgrade window, it seems to have far more options than were available in ME2.

Well, at least it lloks like the powers have more tiers, even if there isn't the selection of powers ME1 had.

Glad to see Bioware could finally extend the colossal amount of effort required to actually set aside some time for non run-of-the-mill TPS combat and show some of the games other facets.

Looks promising so far. I also liked what I saw when it shows different planetary locations.

I guess theyll be keeping the crap missions/levels structure from ME2, but hopefully they can execute them A LOT better this time. They really sucked in ME2, one of the biggest game ruiners for me. Nothing worse than playing Mass Effect and being teleported to the start of a shooter mission, getting to the end and being teleported back out with only a few brief conversations breaking up the constant barrage of repetative action.

Hope they show more soon.

Oh, and Liara looks gorgeous in that character screen. Those more pink coloured lips look much nicer than the rather emo blue of LotSB.

I never got the bitching about the stats in Me2.

Sure there were less numbers to fiddle with, but the number-reliance on ME1 just made it a bad shooter. It wasn't very 'RPG' to begin with.

At least ME2 was a better shooter - I'll happily sacrifice fiddling with stats in order to be able to shoot straight for half the game.
Good fyou, you like sooters. But this series started as an rpg, not a shooter. Its like buying halo and then halfway through they turn it into an interactive movie like heavy rain.

Yes more stats are good, but I am not praising BW, they roved %80 of the mechanics putting %30 or so back in still leaves me with less than before. Inventory, companion armour, and some more skills please.
"I am pleased for you good sir, and understand that you enjoy the shooter genre. However, this dear franchise began it's life as a role playing game, and not as a shooter.
To demonstrate this in another context, it would be akin to the Halo franchise transforming midway through the adventure into an interactive movie experience. Something similar to Heavy Rain you might say.

Now, while I am indeed pleased to see the return of more selection in my character's growth, I still deny Bioware my praise. You see, they removed about...say...80% of the statistical selection from dear Mass Effect 1, and now only return 30% to us.
My knowledge of mathematics tells me this is actually less then before!

I would most enjoy seeing more inventory customisation, armour selection for my adventuring companions and of course, a few for skill selections for myself.

Have a spiffing day good sir."

It's looking pretty good, having more squares than ME2, does sound better than what ME2 did tbh.
What i am wondering about are those Paragon/Renegade bars everyone seems to have, maybe it will work like DA2's friend/rival meters or maybe it will just be your own paragon/renegade meter that you can always see, who knows
