Mass effect: Akuze survivor question...

So aparently if you play as the survivor of Akuze you come across a little side mission involving another survivor

is this in mass effect 1 or 2? because I thourght it was in ME2 but I may be wrong, Im surprised I missed it in ME1 since I tried to do ALL the sidequests

if it is in 1 or 2 where do I go to find this guy?
