Mass Effect: Andromeda Release Date May Have Been Revealed by an Amazon Comic Listing

//cdn.themis-media.com/media/global/images/library/deriv/1354/1354791.jpgWe may know the release date for Mass Effect: Andromeda thanks to a comic book listing on Amazon.

Dark Horse Comics has already announced that it will release "The Art of Mass Effect: Andromeda" on March 21, 2017. But the Amazon.com listing for the book contains some information that we didn't know. That's apparently the release date for the game as well.

When the listing [https://www.amazon.com/Art-Mass-Effect-Andromeda/dp/1506700756/] popped up on Amazon, it contained a blurb that may have revealed more than intended. It read (and still reads), "Dark Horse will release The Art of Mass Effect: Andromeda simultaneously with the game!"

Pegging the release date to March 21, 2017 fits with what we already know. Bioware GM Aaryn Flynn said back in May [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/167401-Mass-Effect-Andromeda-Delayed-to-2017-BioWare-Confirms] that Andromeda would "ship in early 2017," and EA CFO Blake Jorgensen said in March that the game would ship in the company's fiscal fourth quarter (January - March 2017).

We'll likely hear much more about the game, including its release date, when the promised N7 Day information dump rolls around [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/168372-New-4K-Mass-Effect-Andromeda-Shots-Released-Alongside-N7-Day-Tease].

Meh. Much as I loved the ME Trilogy, I predict this one will just be slotted as below ME1 and just above Infiltrator. Just another Mass Effect game, but without Tali or Garrus, so what's the fucking point?

While its a fun little thing, Mass Effect really is just a slightly above average Sci-Fi world, one not nearly as interesting as the characters we've grown to know and love, Thane and James excepted.

At this point its like having an episode of TNG without any of the cast, set on a completely different ship, with a plot that has noting to do with anything ever, ever.

I'll probably grab this game on a 50% off sale in a few years, after the price has already dropped 50% from launch.

That seems awfully close. All we've been shown so far are glorified tech demos and press junkets where the developers just harp on about their legacy and what great work they're doing.

Their only legacy is ME3 multiplayer and Omega.
