Mass effect 'Battle-Healer/Medic' class.

There is no healer class in the Mass Effect series. There is no healing period in the Mass Effect series beyond Medi-Gel (like a health potion type thing).

Don't Medi-Gel's get certain upgrades with talents with certain classes though?


Similar to how the medicine skill effects stim-paks in fallout 3.

Well, technically yes. However, you would never want to put points into those abilities on your main character, because it's just not worth it. A companion like Kaiden would be a much better place to improve the first aid ability.

Besides, if you're using First Aid very often then you probably aren't playing correctly.
