Play it on Insanity difficulty.

It's a completely different game, much more tactical and rewarding.

Hopefully this means ME3 will be pure plot, since you have a freakin' army now.

Or they'll use a plot device like the beginning of ME2 and somehow deprive you of your ship/crew/equipment/reputation

On a side note, does anyone know why Wilson (the guy at the start) did what he did? I've played the game 3 times and still have figured out why.

No, they never say why he did it, my best guess would be he got paid/promised something by the collectors (or their agents) to make sure Shepard didn't make it back to life...

And yes, i hope ME3 will focus on the plot, they made a very decent combat experience with ME2 which i think they should keep, giving more time and ressources to plot design , also since it's going to be the final Mass Effect i believe (hope) it'll be a major plot game (ME2 felt a little more arcade-y than ME1 for example)

get rid of any mining, bring back planet exploration( but with jetpacks), add more sidequests and dlc.

I spent about 40 hours on my most recent playthrough of Mass Effect 2. Are we calling that short now?
