Mass Effect dilemma

hello escapist,

After completing my second playthrough of mass effect 2, I had the great idea to delete the old save files thinking 'if I did it in 1 with no reprocussions, I can do in two' I was wrong, I deleted my first playthrough with most of my team dieing, and while this isn't ideal it sure was unique to me, now here's my problem.

I can either do the main choices I did again and try and get the same team mates to die or I can try and save everyone. But I feel that saving everyone is kinda boring, I'd rather have my team mates die (miranda, samara, garrus and grunt for those wondering) and be able to do that, but I dont want to get to the import mass effect 2 screen on 3 and have 2 of the same file!

Trying to get the same teammates to die isn't that hard just make sure they aren't loyal.
As for the choices just do what you think you did the first time

-looks at OP- Well, thank god you didn't add Thane, or I'd be getting into a bit of a fan rage. ... joking aside, if you want those characters to die, here is what I'd do-

-Avoid completing their loyalty missions (you can actually do Miranda's and still lose her, just side with Jack later on)
-Task them with things they are unsuited for in the suicide run.
-Avoid upgrading certain parts of the Normandy, that ups the kill ratio.

If you want, the ME Wiki has a great guide on who will die if unloyal/certain parts of the Normandy are not upgraded, you might want to check it out.

Honestly, I suggest that you just try and get the same people to die. What I am doing is making one "real" playthrough for the Mass Effect series- no re-do's, nothing like that. One character, one playthrough. Of course I will play through again, but with different characters because then I will know what is coming.

If you want those four specifically dead, just do the following...

- Do not upgrade the Normandy's Thanix Cannon, but make certain you have Thane's loyalty. Garrus dies.
- Choose Miranda as your Biotic bubble babe and bring an unloyal Grunt. Grunt dies.
- Have Samara lead the second fire squad. Samara dies.
- Bring an unloyal Miranda with you to fight Reaperinator. Miranda dies.

I don't think the save files will be a problem, and you're just gonna have to guess which choices you did.
