I was sad that this wasn't included in the game, even before the song.

Also I will say two things about Miranda and you will never be able to look at her the same way again.
You mean like Sarah from Chuck [http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2088803/], except with dark hair?

Tali is an akward Nerd and she's cute. Nerdbait.
I never understood the Lovestories even being there in the first Place; You'd think those People have other Concerns with saving the Galaxy and all that.

Tali on the Battlefield can be useful, although she really shouldn't. When her shields go out, she should be incapacitated with the first bullet that grazes her. But then, most Squadmate forgot their Armor at home and can take Bullets to the Head fairly well.

For Miranda i have an explanation: Her Boobs arn't real, she stores extra Shield Batteries in there.

I never got how the Quarians ended up with no immune system in the first place...

I mean, okay sure, they live in suits, that would do it. But why do they live in suits? Because they have no immune systems... Because they live in ships? How the how does that work, how would the mass exodus of a population in overcrowded ships result in a sterile environment? If anything it should be the opposite...
The ships themselves are hyper-sterilized. Since you get no outside contaminants it stays that way. And the immune system atrophies like any muscle if it gets no work. Hell, people on earth actually do end up with severely compromised immune systems from living in overly sterile environments, and we're not talking 100% sterile like a spaceship.

Also as far as I know, they don't actually live in suits. Those are just for the outside world and interacting with... well, anything from the outside.
No, they wear their suits all the time.

I imagine the only time they take off their suits is for reproduction and the occasional shower.

It would be interesting to see how they eat though...
In the fleet, they do it out of courtesy. They don't use the suits when they are alone with close relatives, but they use it in public, even with other quarians (and since they are crammed inside the migrant fleet, they use it most of the time)

Not going to start a whole thread on this, but I figured I'd post it here, as it is Mass Effect related.

IGN Girrrrrl Gamer is now a ship mate in Mass Effect 3.

Good to know that IGN's review will be wholly fair and completely unbiased.

Also, consider the following:

Bioware didn't have the money to hire back Mordin or Miranda's voice actor.
But they DID make money to hire IGN's poster girl.
Classy act from Bioware, as always.....

Silly, miranda doesnt store it on her boobs, she stores it on her ass, that thing is 10 magnitudes too bootylicious to be real.

I do share your peeve with the no armor thing, it just made me cringe everytime I went into combat wearing heavy armor while the rest of the crew is chilling in their civs.

As for why the love stories, well, think about it, the legendary ship commander that lead a crew to stop Saren and the end of the universe approaches you and wants to get it on, top it off with being charismatic and since its an MC it will be the best sex you will ever have.

If such a person approached you, wouldnt you consider it?

Besides it gave a chance for character interactions that help you become attached to characters, and are completely optional, you dont have a to seek a relationship with them if it bothers you that much.

Can I just say that I have never understood the massively overwhelming fanwank passionate love for Tali?
Because she is mysterious, geeky and totally devoted to you (even when not romanticized). The eastern european accent helps, too...

And don't give me 'yeah but she's also pretty tough', because no she isn't, she's a goddamned engineer, her skillset isn't even useful unless you're going against robots.
You need to get acquainted with Tali's drone: Chiktika Vas Paus. Easily one of the best skills in the entire game (and works with organics too)...

Looking at DA2, though, I'm guessing everyone is going to be up for everything.
It's true. It kind of happened gradually, but all of Bioware's characters have turned into huge sluts.
It's not slutty if it's the end of the galaxy as we know it! Quick, everyone bunk up! Get wild!

I liked Tali, but by the time ME2 rolled around she was my Shepard's trusted friend. When he's surrounded by Cerberus agents who else can he trust other than Garrus?

Not sure what the MT is in this thread. Oh. Hi-res texture pack. Cool beans, yo.

Yvonne Strahovksi is confirmed to return, and Beattie is likely to return as well. Remember, this is EA we're talking about, and Mass Effect is one of their best-selling franchises. I don't think money is an issue here.

And people wonder why the Bioware forums are the way they are. It just seems to happen with Bioware game threads, it turns into a discussion on relationships and who's ass is packing spare shield batteries.

Since when has IGN's reviews ever been even partially unbiased?

Yvonne Strahovksi is back? You don't happen to remember where you saw that confirmed do you?
The leaked script suggested otherwise. Though an amendment could be possible.
I can't link you (I've long lost it) but I believe they said Mordin's voice actor is officially changed in a Twitter/Forum post after getting bugged about it.

Is it just me, or does her face look ... off? It's in uncanny valley territory for me. The same with Miranda's face.

Just looks... ugh.

How did I not see that before...well played sir.

Agreed about the uncanny valley effect. It's whenever they try use a real face and put it into the game...it just comes out creepy looking. Something to do with the lighting I think.
Case in point:

It looks really fugly, The main reason is that they are facial scans, it doesnt fit the art direction of the game at all.

Has nobody been able to extract the 3D models or the textures from one of the games and just "peel back the layers"?

There are no layers. There is nothing to render behind her face. In fact, her helmet IS her face...

The only female I could really like was Miranda. Jack was annoy as shit, with her overactive hatred for everything. Tali was alright but come on, she's an engineer. Samara sounded like she was too far up her own ass to really be taken seriously. Maybe I liked Miranda so much was because she reminded me the most of Ashley. Now with those two both in my squad (hopefully for ME3) I smell a threeway.
