Okay, it's not ACTUALLY a Mass Effect Marriage, but it's a story on the Bioware website about a couple that met on ME3 multiplayer, bonded over their love of Mass Effect, and then ended up getting married.

http://blog.bioware.com/2014/02/14/valentines-day-i-was-lost-without-you/

Highlights for me? The art of Garrus and Tali getting signed and sent over to them by the folks at Bioware, and the amazing tattoos of Garrus and Tali that the couple put on their shoulders.

So yea, give it a look, I think it's super cute.

Two months from met online to engaged. It always impresses me how quick some people are.

I was a bit disappointed that they still effectively met through mutual friends though. I was hoping for entirely random online encounter.

I'd have liked to have heard his wedding speech, provided he went for the "how we met" approach. "So, I was doing a round in Firebase White one day...".

But yeh, as Bellvedere said, it wasn't a totally chance encounter. I don't think we should all start flocking back to ME3 multiplayer in the hopes of meeting that special someone - it's probably not going to happen.

Awww, that's really cheered me up after listening to a sad song!

Also: I like the mental image of N7 operatives playing matchmaker in the middle of frantic combat.

"Argh, ten Banshees right on top of us, help!"

"Just a second! *On omni-tool* 'My...friend...really...likes...you...'"

That's something I could never do. I don't even trust my own credulity when it comes to proper English. Let alone romantic interests.

This is fo me really funy, because althoug I know that you could communicate by headset/microphone while playing, neither I nor really any of the strangers I played online with did it.

So reading that someone met someone in ME3 multiplayer.. I just get this picture of a dude going "Whoa, the skills of that player.. the way she one-shoots a banshee while simultanesly meeleing a brute.. I NEED TO KNOW WHO SHE IS!"

But good for them, may they have many children and happy years togheter.

It's cute. And they're both attractive. He has reach and she has flexibility.
Yeah, they actually are. I didn't even know beautiful people played videogames.

Except that Top 10-Lisa chick, but you know what they say about childstars and when they grow up..

I feel like I have been misled. I was ready to start fuming about a mass effect themed wedding ceremony. Not for sacrilegious reasoning, but merely on a 'Are you F***ing Joking?' basis.

I'm surprised that this happened in general. Mainly because I don't think I've 'met' anyone in an online game for years, friend, lover or otherwise. I mostly just find chat functions in multiplayer to be used for abuse. I don't want to invoke some sort of 'feels' moment or 'forever alone', but really just showcasing my surprise. Games haven't been a platform for me to meet people in years... maybe I'm supposed to start playing WoW again?
