[HEADING=1]Earth, Europa Continental Spaceport, Meeting Room Omega.[/HEADING]

The Assassins had all come into the Alliance territory in one manner or another. Now here they were, gathering in this one meeting room. All of them either worked for or were contracted by orion to take place in a large job. These were rare occasions, most of the time, they were usually put out on solo jobs. Standing in the center of the room was a robot in a humanoid female shape, one that many of them were familiar with as she usually gave out the contracts.

she was holding a series of manila envelopes and waiting on the members of the company to arrive.

Malik strode through the concourse, holding what he considered to be Humanities greatest contribution to the Galaxy, coffee...well that and the whole 'spear-heading the fight to beat the Reapers' thing. It'd been a long and rushed flight for him, so the stimulant was most appreciated. Following the instructions he'd received, he stepped into the meeting room and saw the mech.

Still sipping his coffee, he brought his omni-tool up, scanning it for cracks in its firewalls, seeing if there were exploits he could use to hijack it...not that he intended to, it was just habit. Not seeing anything he could use, he smiled softly. Well I should hope it's good, Orion certainly paid me enough to write all that code.

Barnet was humming a tune to himself as he walk towards the meeting room. Glancing out of the passing windows to see how much of Earth been cleaned up and rebuilt in the past few years. 'Almost makes you wonder if we were ever attack..' Barnet thought to himself. Walking into the meeting room as he spied the female mech in the middle of the room and a Drell off to the side.

Smiling a bit as he walk up to the mech and grab the envelope from her hands. "Evening beautiful." He would say to her as he walk by the Drell. Wondering if he heard of his work and vice versa. Offering his hand to him as he introduce himself. "Names Barnet." He said as nicely as he could, though in his thoughts he wonders how well Drell burn compare to other things. Not that he hated drell, or any other kind of alien. He just love to set things on fire and just watch the flame dance around the bodies.

He knew he was sick, but hey he was good at it and his certain kind of job demanded it from him. So he play the sick little puppy for now and when he rich enough, he'll go into retirement and get the help he needs.

As the cloaked vorcha walked through the corridors busy with Alliance pencil pushers. He never liked them and never wanted to talk to them, the only thing he actually liked talking to was the machine, at least she gave him work. He made his way through the crowds and finally made it to the room. Taking off his trench coat when he entered he saw the Drell and the human and shuddered slightly.

He gave out a disgusting sounding hack as he looked at them. "Huuman and Drell....such fun." He said as he looked them over. Yes he was small but he could survive. He had lived this long anyway. His eyes darted around the room to make sure this wasn't a set up or something of the sort and once he found the room somewhat safe he sat down in the nearest chair.

Lifting one hoofed leg up and resting his ankle on his knee he pulled out a small piece of metal and began picking at his razor sharp teeth in plain view of the two who had already joined the "party." He didn't come here expecting to make friends only the paycheck he was promised.

Niria walked down the hall, trying to avoid the odd looks she was getting. Once, it would be because of her Asari beauty, but after the war, it was because everyone seemed to think the Asari were untrustworthy.

Not that she wouldn't blame them, but the fact that her race were in this situation to begin with due to their own arrogance really got under her skin.

Ignoring the stares, she made her way to the meeting room, which was already occupied. Niria's eyes scanned the others already sitting at the table. A human, a drell and a vorcha? Definitely not your average group...

Quietly, she too the folder from the mech's hands and sat down, stll keeping her gaze on the others.

click, snap, tap the heels went up and down in a percise pace, click, snap, tap. Day made her entrance, wearing a sleeveless red dress down to her knees, her eyes spakling with delight. Day's plain yet intoxicating smile was shining through the crowd, making way for her arrival. She heard rumors of tonight's work, and they were good. She needed the money desperately, and such a complicated job would land her out of the red and back in the black.

Day had dressed for an evening party, yet she was prepared for an armed invasion. Underneath her dazzling clothes were her pistol, her special kit and the omnitool used for the right occaision. Her lips tasted of death, her handshake could have been spiked with the dealiest of powders, her inside pockets lined with deadly vials and flasks. Growing somewhat familiar with the poisons, she had naturally become immune to some.

Day approached the robot, leaned forward and plucked the envelope from her hand. She made her way back when she suddenly noticed the large gathering of hired-killers still staying in the hall. A quick ripping of paper would reveal the intriguing reason.

Walking into the conference room finally was a wall of a person. Stepping into the room fully, they could see it was a krogan, and a female at that. They could see on her back she had a shot gun and nothing else. Taking an envelope, she moved into a corner of the room by herself and didn't say a word.

The robot walked forwards and handed out the remaining envelopes. "This job is a two part job. so the pay will be in three separate increments of 300,000 credits. Your initial supply is in there, the next will be given after the first half is completed, and the final will be given after the job is finished in its entirety, giving you a total of 900,000 credits per person." she explained to them.

"Now, please take a look at the envelopes. Normally we would allow you to go and plan this yourselves, but since the target is of such high value, we'll give you basic instructions." she explained as the room darkened and a screen behind her was lit up. "You have two objectives in this first portion of the mission." she explained. "The head of the Russian space mafia earth branch is your target to kill, and draining his bank accounts is the objective for the rest of the team." she explained and pulled up an image of the complex.

"He's visiting an old military base that they took during the war, when the russians were fighting the reapers that touched down in moscow. This ofcourse means that he's got a decent defense set up around himself. The Vorcha, Krogan and Human male will be taking care of the distraction at the front of the base while the rest of you sneak inside, kill him and drain his accounts into our holding account, which our techy drell already is familiar with. After that, escape and head to the secondary coordinates. The second half of the mission details will be there along with myself. Good luck, happy hunting." she said, leaving the room and group to their own devices now.

"Names Barnet."

"Malik." He replied, shaking the human's hand. A core component of his old training had been on 'reading' others, gauging their personalities, attitudes and such; it is always easier to fight somebody if you know how they'll react before they even move...unfortunately, much like the physical training it was another thing he was only average at. I?ve met some whacked out humans, and this guy seems right up that alley...fantastic. There was something in Barnet's eyes that made Malik uneasy, he just wished he could nail down why.

Any further conversation was interrupted by the rest of the team arriving. Hmm...two humans, an asari, a vorch, and a female krogan...this should be fun. He thought to himself, while maintaining a stoic outward appearance. 100 credits says within a week the asari is fucking one of the humans, and the krogan has eaten the vorcha...I should've stayed on Illium.

On the other hand, maybe coming WAS a good idea. He thought, as the mech laid out the job...and payment. 900k, plus what I've got in my accounts on Irune...might not be enough to retire yet, but I could take a nice long vacation. Flipping thought the brief, as the mech left, he was less than enthused. Pointedly looking between the krogan and the vorcha, he spoke up. "I know some of you'll probably want to just blunder in there and trash anybody you see, but if they want me to hack what is most likely frontline grade Alliance tech I'm going to need more info than what is here."

"More info is what the distraction team is here to buy for you." The krogan spoke up, looking at the drell. "It would be safe to assume you're proficient at your job or you wouldn't have been put on this team. The base will have too many alarms for them to care about you hacking their systems. So long as we kill people outfront, you should have all the time you need. And i'm not planning on running in there blind. i like having plans, make well not to confuse me for the ignorant males of my species." the krogan said to him, he tone not being condescending or full of herself. she spoke from words of wisdom and from experience.

"As much as i may hate it, i still value my life. I've had plenty of battle under my belt and plan on surviving this one as well." she explained herself. "But that's what hundreds of years of living will do to someone."

The vorcha didn't speak since his kind didn't really have a way with words but he on the other hand could speak quite well. He just didn't see the need to show these strangers the fact that he was rather intellegent. He sighed at the bickering and looked at the robot. "Need.....more.....infor......information." he finally got out after pretending to take his time thinking it over.

He looked at the krogan and nodded. He may not live too long but he wanted tk live his full life. However short that it may be. He liked that he had someone he could relate to since not many other races looked up to the vorcha or the krogan, but his race was literally the "kick-em around" race much like the batarians.

They were shown no respect at all and No one would trust them as far as they could throw them. Hence why he started mercenary work, someone hired him and as long as they trusted him he'd trust them, at least as fast as he could pull a trigger.

He looked at the krogan. "You....smart. me watch back." He said to her as he then went back to being silent studying everyone there. All these races gathered together was like the start of a really, really bad bar joke.

Barnet let go of Malik's hand as soon as they were done shaking. Hearing the others soon joining in as he let out a low whistle for some of the ladies that were joining them. Once it seem everyone was here, he overheard the mech speaking about the job.

His eyes budge a bit in how much they would be making on this one job starting the gears spinning in Barnet's head. 'Damn, now that is worth putting up with people.' Barnet thought as he smiles. Wondering what to spend it on first. 'Maybe I should consider adding on to my Quarian po-'pausing for a second as he mentally shook his head. 'no..no..you promise you wouldn't go down that thought anymore. You wasted enough money on that...'

As he focus back on the conversation at hand he whisper to the Drell, "Looks like you got yourself a new friend." He would smile at Malik before saying. "Besides buddy, I don't blunder or trash anything. I burn." He said with a smile.

Niria listened dispassionately to the Krogan's words, thinking over the plan.

That's it? I've had tougher jobs than this! Still, money's money, and a few thousand credits don't sound so bad... Though the details are a bit vague for my tastes...

She was about to mention it when another voice spoke up.

"Need... more...infor... information."

Blinking, Niria looked over at the Vorcha. Up until this point, she'd only thought of Vorcha as cannon fodder. Still, after all she'd seen over her fairly long lifespan so far, the universe was full of surprises.

"He's got a point, we still don't know the layout of this place. I'd feel a lot safer if we at least knew where everything was." she said, trying to seem casual but still interested.

Day had found a comfortable place to sit, her back pressed against the cold metalic wall, her buttocks pressed against a soft pillow she acquired from a nearby lounge. Her legs were crossed, and she was happily munching on a green apple while shifting through the documents handed over to her.

There is no specific target, she mused on the coming mission, [/i]different from my usual style of work[/i].

Her eyes occaisionally darted up to watch the others around her, talking with each other, demanding more information for the mission. Had Orion acquired more information it would have been in this brief, Day concluded, her teeth stripping the apple core bear. She flung it sideways, folded the papers and placed it back in the envelope, then pushed it down her cleavage.

'Shall we get started?', she asked nobody in particular, but the question hit all of those attending the meeting, 'I have an appointment later this week. I would hate to miss it'.

Malik sighed softy as the krogan spoke. "That's not what I was getting at." He said finally. "I meant, I need floor plans of this place so I can find the server room; a place like this is going to be running it sensitive systems on a dedicated mil-spec encrypted channel, not something I can just spike into at will, so I'll need to go 'hands-on' with the hardware. I'd also like to know what type of system they're running; if they've upgraded to a post-war OS, any hack will be much more challenging, and I'd rather not be surprised my something like that."

"Need.....more.....infor......information."

Hearing the vorcha say anything was surprising...they tended to not speak unless spoken to, much less actually ask for better intel. He generally lumped vorcha in with batarians and krogan, blunt instruments for smashing through obstacles, and little else, but these two actually seemed to be able to think. Will wonders never cease?

"Looks like you got yourself a new friend. Besides buddy, I don't blunder or trash anything. I burn."

Oh fantastic... "Just so long as you don't try and torch me I don't really care how you do it." He replied flicking through what little info was in the dossier, committing it to memory. The asari also voiced her wish for greater data. Glad the brains out number the knuckle-draggers this time 'round.

"I have an appointment later this week. I would hate to miss it."

"Oh don't worry. If you're delayed, I'm sure your client can take matters 'in hand' until you return."

"Oh don't worry. If you're delayed, I'm sure your client can take matters 'in hand' until you return."

Day's eyebrow raised slightly, the corner of her mouth twitched upwards into a nasty sort of grin.

'Once we get to our destination, I trust we won't catch you with your trousers down, fumbling with your hands if Orion can't give you all of the passwords. Honestly, what kind of hacker are you?'.

Day looked away from the technician and studied the others scattered around the room. A rowdy bunch, she had to admit, but she wasn't in the habit of picking companions as of late. The pay was good enough to catch her eye, but the downside to the mission was the company.

The vorcha just sat and watched the others have their silly banter with words. He just sat there rolling his eyes at them as he sighed lightly and pinched the bridge of his nose with his index finger and thumb. A great start to what was sure to be their last mission as a group since they were already having problems getting along.

"Shut it! Getting on each other bad sides won't help. Now if you don't mind I want to get out of here so I can eat. I don't feel like chowing down on any of the flesh here."

He said as he finally spoke, finally showed that He was intelligent, he finally showed them that he could talk and that he didn't mind eating whatever he wanted. Then again if they were to judge he pick off at least three of them with smart remarks.

He sighed and sat down and crossed his arms and avoided eye contact with the lot of them even though he was sure they were all staring at him now.

The krogan nodded. "In terms of visibility inside the base, they don't exactly list them under public schematics. So unless you could hack into their camera system or we could capture a guard or former military member stationed there and miss asari over here could forcibly take the base layout from his head via melding, i'm out of ideas." said the krogan, leaning against the wall, leaving a dent in it as the metal groaned under her weight. After she saw the outburst from the Vorcha, the krogan looked at him for a minute and shrugged. Little fella's atleast got a mind in his head. shame the rest of the species can't fare as well. she thought to herself and decided to atleast bolster her own actions and reliability in the eyes of her team mates for this mission.

"And i know i'm not stealthy, so someone will need to scout for us. knowledge on military positions is vital to our combat effectiveness and short of my biotics, i'm only close range." The krogan added, gesturing to her gun. "And if it puts any of your more squishy types to rest, I fought on Palavan and on Menae to help the turians fight against the reapers. If i had any tendencies to keep trophies from my kills, like many of the male krogans do, i don't think i could walk from the weight, even if i only kept things like fingers or ears." she explained to them with a calm and controlled voice. "But i've seen plenty and know how to handle myself."

Niria listened intently to the discussion, only jumping (slightly!) when the Vorcha revealed his intelligence.

Well I'll be damned. Who knew there were actually some smart Vorcha out there?

Then the female Krogan spoke up and got her attention. "And I know I'm not stealthy, so someone will need to scout for us. knowledge on military positions is vital to our combat effectiveness and short of my biotics, I'm only close range."

Seeing an opportunity, Niria eagerly volunteered. "I think I can handle the scouting. I've done a bit of mercenary work too, so I can handle myself if anything goes wrong." She wanted to sound sure of herself, but also not too eager to prove herself.

This is my chance, I am not going to let it pass me by.

"I make no promises!" Barnet said as he chuckle lightly as the others converse with themselves. A bit surprise like the others within the room when the Vorcha spoke though he brush it off for now. He didn't expect the Vorcha to truly make it out of here anyways.

After the Krogan and Asari spoke, Barnet offer his own two-cents. "So what is everyone job gonna be in this Operation? I know Krogan, Vorcha, and me would be the "Smash and burn" group. Miss sexy Azure there is our volunteered scout. My buddy Malik here is our techi. That just leaves Miss red here."

Day was already nibbling on a cinnamon roll when some new startling developments occurred around the room. The Vorcha had found his tongue, his mind was not so dull after all. The others went on to discuss the details, and Day was left to her own devices.

'That just leaves Miss red here'

What a curious lot...

'I will undoubtedly prove a valuable assent-', she went on with her sales pitch, the same one she had been using for the past four years, '-I am quite the delicate kind of assassin, but deadly nonetheless. Death is an art form-', she took another bite from the roll, chewed it quickly and let it slide down her throat, '-and I paint'.
