PC. Just make sure it's up to date and without that Securom bull.
It's called buying it on Steam.
Unless you're in the UK, in which case EA has decided that you're pathetic, insignificant and unimportant and don't deserve to get Mass Effect on Steam.... *grumbles darkly*

Well a little update is proper I think. I didn't buy it off Steam, I don't really care alot about that Securom stuff. So far I think it's a wonderfull game, and I bet I've only cratched the surface (about 5 hours gameplay so far and I haven't even left the Citadel yet).
However, I've ran into a small technical problem I can't really find the solution for. Especially in dialogue (well that's when I notice it the most), the screen keeps hanging for a split second. Sometimes it happens once, sometimes it happens a lot of times right after eachother (like a conversation with Cpt Anderson I had just a couple of minutes ago, about his failed mission with Saren). It's really annoying, it breaks the flow of cutscenes and the game in general. I tried lowering the settings wich didn't work. Would be strange if it did, I gave my pc specs already and I played better looking games (you can see it's a console port, the textures aren't exactly high res) on higher settings then this (CoD4, for example). An (apperantly much needed) HD defragmentation also did not help either. My gfx card drivers are also up-to-date. Kinda out of options, at least I don't know anything else. If anyone has any tips or anything, or knows more about this, I'll be glad to hear it.

That PC seems strong enough to run the game in my opinion. I have a 2.3ghz quad with 8gigs of RAM and a GTX280, and I was running it in 1920x1080 with full specs and filters, while I was playing music on my media player cus the in game music was non-existant unless there was a story line going on.

Also, one more reason to get it PC: Console cheats, if you get bored with the game, look them up. You can give yourself armors and weapons that Bioware made nearly impossible to get for people who don't play the game 20 times through.

PC version does have somewhat heavy system load, but it's for PC, which is enough to make it the better version. You get to use mouse and keyboard, Texmod, and other neat stuff.

I wish the had demo so you know if you could play it but whatever your computer sounds capable enough to use the PC version.

Nvidia released drivers a couple of months ago that fixed all of the technical issues, like the notorious General Protection Fault.

Personally I would go with neither since both were subpar in my opion. Mass Effect is not as advertise a sex filled gun tour of the universe of originality in a sandbox of choices. It is more of a chose your own adventure which is linear and has few choices with repeative actions in faults while it treads old water poorly. Now unlike with Jade Empire where there tread where they had gone before so they could excel in writing and fun Biowear goes the route of the masses in having as much writing as a English major and the deep of a box cover.
