"Did anyone happen to notice any surveillance cameras on the way in? That's one way they could have known we were coming. Maybe the guard we captured had some sort of recording device on him. Or maybe they just planned for an attack. I suggest we stay together now, seeing as how we no longer have the advantage of stealth. Also I can use lift to get anyone up the rocks if they want. But we may want to go through the tunnel."
"Yeah, well, first of all Dak I don't have a rope; second, the hole was too deep for me to really do anything and I don't feel like being shot today."
Davian watches Dak trying to climb.
"You know, it'd be much easier to just go through the hole over there. Of course, that's where we're supposed to go. Anyone pack a bunch of explosives, since ropes are apparently for boy scouts? Maybe we can blow our own hole. I wouldn't advise going back up there in any case, 'they' are probably waiting for us."
Davian thought for a minute.
"On second thought...Hey, Boss. You want to split up, we go back up the hole, you check out that slit in the rock you call a tunnel?"
Can we establish some kind of a setting here? It was kind of odd how someone got sniped while he was INSIDE A BUILDING and nobody saw where the sniper shot from. Just a little inconsistency, I think it would be cleared up if we actually knew what the hell was going on.
Eric sighs... they were disorganized, no question about it, but still... he did have the answer to one of the questions
"Come on... If a specter went missing because of something in this base, you better believe that the people behind it all are going to be expecting visitors"
Josh felt uneasy. He hadn't been in contact with the team, and things were uncomfortably silent.
"Hey, Nima. Is everything okay in there? There's nothing going on here, requesting permission to enter the building and regrouping with the team."
Jason follows close behind, but then he notices a light being reflected up ahead, it was only a glimpse but it was enough to tell what it was. "I think they've planted a bomb in the tunnel!"
Lag used the light of his amp as a lamp to light up the dim tunnel as the group walked through it. He decided that now would be a good time to maybe forget his pride for a moment and make some amends as he was going to be stuck with all of these people for a while. "Davien was it? I'd like for a moment to excuse myself for my behavior. I won't lie I'm a cold person who doesn't care for many, but as your all my companions for a while I'd like to.....apologize and try to keep this as civil as possible." Just as he finished this someone called from ahead that there was a bomb in the tunnel. "Alright," Lag called to the group,"do we have a bomb expert?"
Aeryn had pulled out switched our her assault rifle for her shotgun. She spoke asking no one in particular. "Do you think that they'll be a lot of them that we have to face?"
"Well, Dak, there's no point in walking around here alone when we don't know where that tunnel leads, or if any of these halls up here lead to the same place. Sorry to say this, but I think we need to go regroup with the team. Of course, that's just my opinion. It's up to you whether or not we go into the hole."
