[Lost In The Void]

sorry for not posting earlier, work and now our basement is flooded

Lag sprung into action laying proximity mines by each statue. As he was setting the last one he looked up and saw that they statue's eyes glowed a deep red. He rigged the charged put his hand on the now alive Ra'Ja forced the snout up and forced his pistol into the beast's mouth and squeezed the trigger twice blasting it's head apart. He then ran towards the group firing at other Ra'Ja as they came to life.

Nima ducks as the explosions go off and fires at the Ra'Ja as their shields drop, but can't see all of them, taking a blow to the back of her head by one of the beasts she missed.

Lag was back at the group. He shot two Ra'Ja saw Nima go down from one. He blasted it with Throw and it flew into another setting off another explosive consuming them both.

Dak saw Lag duck past him, and Nima go down, leaving no one in front of him. He barked his former tribe's battle cry and opened fire into the dust clouds. He heard several bodies fall, then his assault rifle overheated, and he dragged out his shotgun, blasting a Ra'Ja as he backed to the doorway.

Lag heard a savage war cry and saw his fellow Turien blasting down Ra'Ja all around him. He decide to join in crying the call of his tribe using his biotics throwing chucks of rock and statue at the Ra'Ja. Their ranks were beginning to thin but he wanted to make sure each was dead.

Eryn's armor was hit by the Ra'Ja and she fell to the ground. "You son of a bit.." She shot it in the head causing it to fall to the floor. She made her way to Nima. Tapping her on her shoulder. "Hey wake up Nima."

"I'm awake..." She gets up, the back of her head covering soaking up blood.

 

[Lost In The Void]

Lag knew they were fighting a losing battle. "Get in the next room." Everyone ran to the next room, save Nima who was still very out of it. Lag ran, and grabbed the commander leading her to the room. hey then set off one more explosive effectively creating a block in front of the door. The noise died almost immediately.

"How are there so many of an 'extinct' species?"

The same reason we didn't see them coming, they're cloakers hiding in disguise until needed we must be in an old Prothean ruin

"Or else they are one of the weapons in the lab. But how could they be...?"

"They would've needed at least one."

"Or the body of one. Either way, this has to be a Prothean ruin." She slumps against the nearest wall. "They are the ultimate weapon. Cloaked, strong, fast..."

He see's Nima losing energy, remembering that she's still injured he produces some medi-gel and treats the head wound

Dak muses on what Nima had said.

"They are powerful, true, but hardly the ultimate weapon. They have no guns, little armour, and a thermal scan will see them through their cloaking. They'll be hard to fight, but only because we're not used to them." he said as he reloaded his assault rifle. Shrugging, he added, "Everything dies"

"Its doesn't matter if they don't have guns or armor. If there are enough of them then they can over power us and drive us into a corner." Eryn reloaded her assault rifle. She sighed. "This mission has had so many twist and turns its like a movie plot."

"Pardon?" Lag was confused by Eyrn's analogy until he realized it must be a human reference. He was exhausted almost too much to speak human. He turned to Dak,"Good work, and good fight."

"Thanks" said Dak, slipping into Turian, "You did fought well yourself."

After her head wound is healed, Nima looks over. "That's the problem. As we just saw, if there are more of them than there are of us, we could be taken out quite swiftly."
