Dak moved up to a third, placed his shotgun to the base of one, and fired. It collapsed, and he moved to the next one. When this one fell, Dak found the savaged body of the Spectre

"Should we give him last rites?" he asked Nima

The Spectre gets up, his eyes revealing his status as a husk as he stumbles toward the group. "There's no purpose," she says, raising her pistol and firing.

The shot hits Dak in the shoulder. He fell, but tried to play dead. The husk ignored him and took a step toward the rest of the squad, and Dak rolled onto his stomach and fired his shotgun twice into the husk's back

The husk roars, setting off an electrical charge that knocks down Nima.

Dak fires again, then his shotgun overheats, and he dives across the floor to retrieve his fallen assault rifle

MacCormick throws the Husk backwards and the Husk spike he had descended from skewered his skull. With a crack and a small shower of sparks, the light behind his eyes faded. Just to be sure, he sheared the head from the electrical body and threw it over to the Quarian.

"Nima - you're a techie. Check his brain, see if there's a memory circuit installed."

Nima started examining it. "There is. Let's see how luck favors us." She worked on the memory circuit, downloading what she could salvage from the memory circuit before it self-destructed.

 

[Lost In The Void]

Lag swore loudly, and ran into the room, there were three husks lying there with the Quarien examining one. "What just happened?"

"We found the Spectre."

Lag looked at the dead Spectre,"Well this was a waste then, we lost one man, and didn't even get our target, this is a disaster and I will lose honour over this."

"Not entirely a waste. I don't think the Council knew this was a Geth establishment."

 

[Johnn Johnston]

"Well, at least we can send them a postcard. Anything useful on the memory circuit?"

"Yes. Turns out the Spectre was ambushed. Guess who was responsible?"

 

[Johnn Johnston]

MacCormick thought for a moment.

"Wha- no..."

He continued to think. He stopped thinking for a while, and started to walk off before remembering what he was doing. He span around and started to spurt out the most likely option and hoped nobody would notice he had spat a little in his excitement.

"The Geth! Yes! Them! Was it them?"

"No."

Dak's face shifted in the Turian version of a wry grin, "Don't tell me the Council did him in. He probably found out too much, and had to be shut up"

"Not quite."

"Did another Spectre pick him off?"

 

[thebobmaster_v1legacy]

"Yes."

Alright what's the Spectre's name as far as we're concerned he's now a rouge agent, or wait...did the council send him or is we working alone on this one. There are so many unanswered questions."
