Mass Effect: Simpler navigation?

I can't seem to find an easier way to navigate in this game. As i recall, earlier i had an arrow pointing my way in the rader, but i can't seem to find it.

I've looked through the codex too but i can't seem to find a solution.

Anyone willing to help? This is the pc version.

A side note, so far, i am loving this game o.o finding it much more enthralling than the first time i rented it.

Throughout the game, I've probably had to look at my map every minute or so, to know where I was going.
You could set waypoints in the general direction you're supposed to go, but normally the codex will give you some nice information on where to go.

Waypoints make it pretty simple on planets, but otherwise check your map for the jounral point (exclamation mark) and plan your route in advance so you don't get turned around.

Yes, i realize this. The building i happen to be in though happens to have so many staircases, it can make it a tad evil knowing where to go.
