So I just started replaying the original and created a male Shepard with darker skin, modelled on Oenomaus from Spartacus. The voice of male Shepard I've always found to be solid - not as good as Jennifer Hale but decent - however it doesn't quite 'fit' the model.
My question therefore is this: does anyone know how to extract the Mass Effect voice files , then lower the pitch of the voice and then put those files back into the game?

As a supplementary question: any one else think this could be kind of cool to do? Even if just for the comedy value of chipmunk Shepard or Barry White Shepard.
