Sorry, I had to.
I've never heard of driving bans due to snow. How deep is it now?

All I have to look forward to is a bit more queuing in the rain.
Why not just have your car transform?Zeren said:Snow is my mortal enemy. My car cannot handle it well at all. The last time we had a somewhat deep snow, this happened.

The correct demonym for someone who lives in Massachusetts is Masshole.Goofguy said:Take care of yourselves Massachusettians... Massachusettites... Massachusetters... fuck it, people from Massachusetts.
I'm sure people in Massachusetts do.Hannya said:Because everyone remembers the storm of 1978 due to it inducing a ban on driving in a single state.Chunga the Great said:Does that mean that I don't know anything about WWII because I wasn't born in 1939?Hannya said:*Looks at birth date.* "1989"Strazdas said:thats pretty good storm you got there or just stupid people? i never heard anything ever closing becuase of a storm, and we had pretty darn big winters (this one was cold but little snow, the snow didnt even reach above my head).
a blizzard around the same category of the blizzard of 1978
You been to the town centre lately? Riverside by the oracle is crazy flooded most of the time. Like you cant go down the stairs by Mcdoos.BlackStar42 said:We've just started to get a little snow down here in Reading. Doubt it'll stick though, there's been too much rain.
You really shouldnt talk about things you know nothing about. Most people who live in eastern US or Canada know what the blizzard of 1978 was.Hannya said:I'm pretty much 100% certain that you don't have any recollection of a big snow storm that happened in your state 11 years before you were born. As well as the effects that the said storm caused.
haha good one. I'm from up north too and never heard of a driving ban although I have had businesses close down.lacktheknack said:http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTt2B_-xvgGlpXFbTB9JxRyuxCdhW-An46ARwdJcLgqX9j_EbvR

Give it time, man. We'll get another "Hurricane of the Century" sooner or later. Remember that whole thing about "It's been 10 years since our last really bad hurricane, so the next one will be absolutely devastating!" and nothing really happened?Noxshadow said:Al you mofos are so lucky. Here in Florida, don't get any snow, ever.
we haven't even gotten a good hurricane in a while. It's just boring as hell here.
98 was the year the ice storm took out power in eastern North America for quite long periods of time. The power lines collapsed under the weight of all the ice from freezing rain. School was out for weeks in some areas and many people died using unconventional heaters(like propane BBQs) to keep themselves from freezing to death in their own home.PedroSteckecilo said:I'm curious as well, the photo is an exaggeration (at least for Western Canada) and hereabouts we've never actually shut down car traffic due to heavy snow... things just really, really suck for awhile.lacktheknack said:http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTt2B_-xvgGlpXFbTB9JxRyuxCdhW-An46ARwdJcLgqX9j_EbvR

I only ever remember getting one Snow Day at school and that was way back in 1998 when we got 3 feet over night, but that's it, also I think my dad still went to work that day.

That being said, it doesn't take much to get Toronto to freak out over the weather. Though I suppose on the other hand Toronto's traffic situation is pretty damn awful on the best of days so anything that makes it worse would be pretty rage inducing.Soviet Heavy said:Eastern Ontario took a walloping last Friday. Everything from Toronto through London was shut down. I'm in Guelph, and I had to walk to the far end of town to find a store that was still open. Every university was shut down entirely, and the busses were running late if they showed up at all.
Meanwhile, today all that snow melted and it's been raining like a ************.
But your car is apparently Bumblebee from the Bayformers movies. Can't you just have him transform and carry you?Zeren said:Snow is my mortal enemy. My car cannot handle it well at all. The last time we had a somewhat deep snow, this happened.

I live in Ottawa and that's just a snow storm for us. You haven't seen a blizzard.
