Massive Final Fantasy XIV Changes Feature Battle With God of Fire

Have you looked at the list of stuff they are trying to fix. OMG this game will take forever to patch and upgrade. The sad part is even if they fix they are not going to get the PC crowd back they'll have to hope for big PS3 number so look forward to a game that is completely centered on consul gaming.

I am a current FFXIV player. The game is making changes and for the better. One of the reasons I have stuck around is because I play with a good group of people and it is currently free, so why not. But the other reason is that SE is trying to make it better and admitted they did a crap job. How many other publishers or development studios have ever done that? Sure when they release it they claim the fixes is coming in a future patch that never comes just to grab at a few more subscribers before they belly up. But SE actually seems intent on making things right and even made it F2P while they do so. That's integrity and I, for one, support it.

I haven't played FFXIV, but I would very much like to some day. If it weren't for me being broke I'd buy it and give it a try. I've kept up with it here and there since before release and although it did have a very terrible launch It's slowly getting better especially with the new people on the team.

Everyone seems so terribly biased against the game... I really hope it will pick up and have a great community once the game does get better.

I won't praise them for trying to fix the game. They knew that they were releasing a broken game in the first place, somehow hoping people wouldn't notice, and imo a boycott is in order.
The Final Fantasy series has been more and more disapointing with every game since FFIX. >.<

Would agree with most of what you said, but FFX was far and beyond better than FF8, and if you cant see why then im puzzled - I'd say ever since 10 it has been failure...
