A few new pictures of Max Payne 3 have been posted on CVG ( http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=218127 )and they dont add anymore hope. They have decided to add a cover system of all things as we can expect Gears of Max gameplay, and though Rockstar claim to keep all the excellent story devices, I am not overly hopefull.

Alright... Thanks for info?
I loved max Payne, and since it takes the escapist about 2 days to copy paste other websites content, I thought I would provide a link for those other Max Payne fans

I didn't even know they were making a part 3. Either way, I'm not interested. Thanks for the pictures though.

I'll stick to my opinion and say that it doesn't look at all like a Max Payne game (No NY? No leather jacket? VIBRANT F*CKING COLORS?), but I won't judge a game until I play it. Hell, it could be good.

Egads a cover system!!!
Grow up. Just because they have added a usable real-world mechanic doesn't mean it detracts from gameplay.

The setting (time and location), are however, very off-putting.

So does the fact that he's gone fat make him an easier, less agile target?

If so, boo.

This must be the South American Vacation year for Video Games. Splinter Cell, Max Payne, Modern Warfare 2...wtf.

"Thought they couldn't rape the franchise any harder than they did with the movie? Think again!"
Very depressing. Almost as depressing as that, despite the fact that it sucks, it'll probably still be more profitable than Max Payne 2, no matter how much better THAT game really was.

Hmm, I reckon they may have gone too far with the whole "old and grizzled" thing, sure the belly could work lol, but shaved head and beard? he looks like a fat Steve Austin. Also wtf is Max doing in Sao Paolo!? Where is the noir!?

Yeah, whatever, ***** and moan all you want about "ooh, a cover system" or "oh noes! Vibrant colours, my mortal enemy!", but the bottom line is it's Rockstar, it's going to be good, and you'll all be in line on launch day.

Please, enough with the pessimism.

I think a cover system might work excellently in Max Payne, but I'm just a bit concerned that the bright colours may detract from the dark gloomy atmosphere that helped to make the first 2 games so damn good.

Also, yes it is Rockstar, but the first 2 were made by Remedy, and the original writer is not on board for this game. So yes it maybe awesome, but it might not be Max Payne as we know it.

Getting sick of people judging games before they're released.
Seriously. Happens with just about everything. There's not even close to enough information to judge this yet.
