Heh. All I know is that I'm about to get addicted to grimacing and pain killers all over again. I suggest you post a photo of yourself doing you best Max Payne grimace to GT to express your disproval. GRRRRRRR!

I'm incredibly disappointed by the way that game seems to handle cinematics and story-telling. It was expected really, but the whole shaky-cam video-filters thing annoys me greatly and I miss the comic panel style the first two games had. The thing with the words popping up on screen just looks stupid too, I have no clue what the developers were trying to go with there!

Earlier today on Giantbomb I was watching a quick look (preview) and I have to agree with a comment the staff made about this game and how it definitely reflects Rockstar's general sense of style and storytelling over trying to emulate Remedy's approach in the first two games. Pity I think as it's not like there are all that many comic-book styled games out there.

Still probably a good game and I realize I'm just being one of those anal fans who hate change, but it still annoys me enough I probably wont pick this game up.

I still need to play the first two games. I've been trying to figure out if I want to catch up on Hitman or Max Payne first. They both look like game series that I will love, so I don't know why I never tried them. I'm kind of excited at the prospect of Rockstar doing a more linear game.

I don't really like this song [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SL6MY9OO8vI&feature=related] they are using to promote the game with. It sounds like what almost all music sounds like to me when I'm really drunk. Though maybe that makes sense...

The cutscene things that they replaced the graphical novel sequences with are weird. The random words appearing all over the screen seemed like a totally random thing to do, and it's distracting and appears to serve no real purpose. I still have a weird feeling about this game and it doesn't seem to be a "Max Payne game" as I know them to be. I think it can wait until I can get it for a bargain price in a future Steam sale.

Well it looks like I'm gonna cross it off "The List"

Definetly getting:

Assassins Creed 3
Resident Evil 6
Bioshock Infinite
Final Fantasy Versus XIII

Maybe getting:

Borderlands 2
Dishonoured
Max Payne 3
Ghost Recon Future Soldier

Then there were 7

Scores are meaningless, all you need to know the game feels like GTA: Max Payne.
It's not the dark cop drama anymore, it's much more super Hollywood silly action scene string up with bullet time and narration.

Now it just depends on how you like your Max.

Personally, I'm not really that bothered about Max Payne 3. I've been trying to decide whether or not to buy this game, but the one thing that kept me from pre-ordering it was the fact that I hadn't seen much of it from the gameplay department.

Now that I have seen it in action and I know the type of game it is, I can simply say that this is simply just another cover-based third-person shooter with slow-motion bullet kills and not much else. Though, I will give them credit for getting rid of the stupid regenerating health crap that plagues most modern games and it's nice to see a game these days that has traditional health bar rules (Resistance 3 did this as well).

I like Rockstar and many of their games, and I am definitely looking forward to GTA5, but Max Payne 3 just feels like a slap to the face considering that the past games have been either great sandbox games or in the case of L.A.Noire, a great detective game that was a welcome change of pace from all of the action games of late. Max Payne 3 however just seems like another generic action game with mostly generic gameplay designs, and is most likely a game that people will play through once, and then never bother with it again.

So Max Payne 3 is a game I won't buy and I would rather either just save my money for better games, or just buy some games that are more interesting, aren't a waste of time, and are cheaper.
