Max Payne with.... Valkyries?

Just seen the new Max Payne movie trailer and was glad to see it includes, slow motion, guns, his dead family and some winged creatures that "swoop over the battlefield"?.

I have only played the first 5 or so levels of Max Payne and i don't recall these Valkyries. I also have it on good authority that said beasties don't feature in the sequel either.

So am i missing something, or do movie studios now just take the box art as an original text and then make it up as they please?

When it comes to video game based movies, obviously yes.

In all seriousness though, I sincerely hope that isn't the case. My guessing is that it's when Max is injected with the Valkyr drug and is simply hallucinating. If it isn't...

I say no because i get beat the heck up for having a last name of payne and wanting no association with him.

the reason there are those "angels" or "Valkyries" Is that Max Payne takes painkillers to restore his health so sometimes during the game your tripping out on them, but seriously... a max payne movie wouldn't be good because Max Payne took everything that was great in movies and made it into a game... plus they got the wrong actor, i think it's gonna be terrible :\

Actually, I'm quite looking forward to this one. The valkyries could be a number of things; a result of an injection of valkyr, or it could be in response to "the flesh of fallen angels", a phrase which is uttered commonly in the game by various mad men, crime bosses, and pink flamingoes

Nah, it'll be a metaphor or hallucination. They won't muck up Payne with realy angels or monsters.
