Right, so anyone with their ear to the ground concerning RPG's knows that Skyrim and Mass Effect are getting big DLCs soon called Dragonborn and Omega. these DLCs are gonna be a big drain on my financial situation (1600 for Dragonborn and 1200 for Omega), so to begin saving, I purchased 1600 points alongside Halo 4 on the 10th.

However, browsing Games on Demand, I saw Hitman Blood Money... for 1600 Points... and purchased it.

I'm just wondering if I made the right call, or should I have tried cheaper stuff (Dead Space 2 Severed being the other DLC out right now I want).

If you like stealth games blood money will provide you many hours of entertainment. But you could have got it for a fiver second hand XD

1600 seems expensive for a dlc though. 1600 and 1200 points seems a lot for dlc though. even if they ARE expansions.

You Fowled up? I thought this thread would be about Angry Birds.
I thought this thread was going to be about an Artemis Fowl game.
I thought he used "Fowled" instead of "Fucked" and this was going to be about a girl...

Oh thank heavens, it's about purchases and not saying incredibly stupid things to your girlfriend.

I would have looked around first, as Hitman games are pretty cheap nowadays, but meh, I'd pay that much for it.

You fowled up? Did your chicken fly the coup? Or are you just clucking mad at your mishap? Maybe you need a holiday to clear your mind; have you considered Turkey?

Yeah, you don't want to spend too much money on games, otherwise you might ruin your nest egg.
There's always the opportunity to earn eggstra though.

But, I probably wouldn't bet the farm on it, just in case the return is less than eggcelent.

Indeed.

Though one must never count their chickens before they hatch...
Well, you can, but doing so could potentially fowl up your count.

The OP probably just made an honest mistake, no harm no fowl. I've made my own share of uninformed or poorly chosen games on Steam and I have no eggscuse.

Here I was thinking there were a lot of games about birds that came out in May.
Anyway... I don't buy DLC anymore and on very rarely anything to do with Microsoft points. It shouldn't be allowed to only let us purchase points in amounts that we can't use on their own. There will always be around 200 points left over that you end up spending on random crap, they just try to get another purchase out of you.

Right, in response to everyone- ENOUGH WITH THE BIRD JOKES!

I used Fowled because I didn't feel like asking the admins to ban me for putting "Fuck" in my forum title.

why not pay for both? XD
I'd love to, but cash is short, as mentioned, and I still haven't gotten Assassin's Creed 3.

Oh, that'd be awesome. In my mind.

Quick question: Is Dead Space 2 Severed any actual good?

You have done it and cannot get a refund. Therefore I'd say that it does not matter. There is no point regretting what you cannot change. You can learn from it, if you think it was the wrong choice, but there is no point thinking "What if".

Play the game hopefully enjoy it, and it won't have been a mistake.
