after the success of Bioshock and Fallout 3 can it be possible that game developers might create more games based during the late 40s or 50s now? personally i would love the idea of more games based during those times

What about World War 2 games? About 1000 or more of those exist though if a game does not involve some extra bonus like how there are mutants or you are under sea, the 40-50s are pretty dull.

How about a Sims game based in the roaring 50s? Knowing producers now they would just turn everything to a tinted brown or gray scale so it amuses fools.

Yeah, Destroy All Humans was a true testament to the 50s.

I wouldn't mind if they actually chose a new time period to set things in. WW2 has been done to death.

the charm in bioshock, destroy all humans, and fallout isn't that they're idyllic 50s style of world

it's that they're that idyllic world destroyed.

Not enough stuff based on the turn of the Century, eg. 1890-1910.
That's too old for steampunk and too young for scientist-invents-cyberpunk.
It's the least punky time.
Perfect for Ships & Steam Engines.
