Shepherd: I had a nightmare, it was incredibly unsatisfying, as though a hack writer abruptly wrote an end to my saga.

Liara: By the Goddess Shepard! Are you Alright?

Shepard: What happened?

Tali: You where hit by Harbingers weapon. Keelah, your lucky to be alive.

Shepard: I had the strangest nightmare. Everyone was killed on the way to the beam, then a guy called Marauder Shields tried to kill me, then I met Anderson and TIM in the Citadel, then the crucible didn't work, then Casper the Friendly Ghost told me he built Reapers so that he could kill organics with synthetics before organics could build synthetics that would kill them, then the Relays and the Citadel blew up then I woke up here.

Tali: Shepard....None of that makes any sense.

Shepard: I know.

Well, I'm gonna cross my fingers but I'm going to keep myself contained until something solid pops up.

mmm...
After replaying Mass Effect 3 the only thing I can think of is that the company and writers that made the rest of the game, and paid so much attention to detail, is at least smart enough not to make mistakes that big in the last 5 minutes.

Something just didn't feel right in the ending. My guess is that Bioware has something up their sleeves.

Fingers crossed.

Looking at a Youtube video alongside this, it seems to match.

Well the Reapers did say we would never understand their motives...

That was one part of the game series that really annoyed me. The entire explanation for the motive of the bad-guys was "Just because."

or pretty much

"why not?"

Well it's pretty easy to screw up the last 5 minutes of your game when your game's director decides to go on a cocaine-fueled bender and absolutely butcher the ending of the game by chopping out 80% of the pertinent information that your writers wanted to include all because a legless stripper refused to give him a lapdance because he wasn't wearing any pants at the time.

I dunno, I kinda liked it especially when taken with ME2 where we realized that this is their reproduction cycle. But with the reapers I think less is more, keeping them cloaked in shadows and generally mysterious is a good thing because at the end they represent the concept of the inevitable death which is not quite so inevitable.

Or we can have a God child

Well the Reapers did say we would never understand their motives...

It is, but it's much harder for everyone in the team to not call them out on their bullshit before they go through beta testing and shipping.

The ending is too full of holes for nobody on Bioware to not say anything. Something's up, I can feel it.

lol drama Liara.

I choose to believe this person. For no other reason than it sounds the most likely thing.

Confirmed fake, it's a photoshop done in the Liara thread in the BSN character forums.
