ME3 Import Issues

I just got ME3, I know, later than most.
I was wondering if I needed an Xbox Live connection in order to important my characters from ME2. I don't see why I would need to, since all my save files are on my hard drive. But I've having connection issues (For whatever reason, it won't connect to my wireless network.)

I don't really care that I can't connect to Live... I don't feel I really need it, I just want to play my games.

Just wondering.

You shouldn't need to connect up to xbox live. As you stated your save files are on your hard disk. If everything goes to plan it should be similar to importing from mass effect 1 to 2.

There was at one point an issue importing characters faces to ME3 but I think they have fixed it by now.

Don't think so. I started up a new game about a week and a half ago and the Shep I imported was all wrong. I had to put Mass Effect 2 in and take a picture (also had to download a patch for Mass Effect 2. I don't know what it did, but it had to be new since I played it right before Mass Effect 3 came out).

My only theory is that, for whatever reason, however long ago, I deleted most of my saves so I could start over and make an attempt at "Perfect" or "Near-Perfect" playthroughs to bring onto ME3. Like, doing every side-thing I could.

Ah well. Just gotta do a ME2 playthrough and I'm golden.

I'm still annoyed at the fact that for some completely unknowable reason, most of the characters whose appearance I customized got completely bamboozled in the transition from ME2 to ME3. Some of the faces were made in ME1, some in ME2, but only one of them imported properly. They claimed they fixed this, but it didn't help with any of my issues.... : (

Actually, I think my FemShep got upgraded in the looks department. And I crafted her as BEST I could in ME1-2. But in 3, her face looks a bit more human and I changed her eyebrows up a bit (Seriously, it's ALWAYS the eyebrows that makes everyone look odd).
