MechWarrior is a thinking mans shooter not a twitch shooter so I for one am glad they've brought it back properly as I thoroughly enjoyed how different mech warrs 2, 3 n 4 were to the other games I was playing at the time.

Looking forward to the beta going open and to ongoing updates that I really think it would do well to include for non-vets of the series.

While I actually liked the Xbox Crimson Skies games, which is considered heresy in some crowds

I belong to those crowds... along with the 'Clix Crimson Skies is an Abomination' crowds and 'Mechwarrior: Dark Ages Offends the Very Universe' crowds.

You're forgetting the crowning achievement among them... MechAssault. Oh and the Shadowrun FPS. Poor FASA.

I will pay money to watch some little squeaker pull the ultimate rage quit as his heat sinks fail and half his mech goes up in an internal ammo explosion. The high-pitched string of profanities is almost as good as the credits on this backwater hovel of a "strategically important" world.

FASA properties certainly didn't have a good run on the Xbox.
