No John, it does not.John Funk said:Needs more laser swords and beam cannons.
Like he said, this is one of the established variants - CPLT-K2, not just a player customisation of the standard CPLT-C1. http://www.sarna.net/wiki/CatapultRoboto said:They've gone digging then! I only remember having 2 banks of 4 beam slots.
And this is a new one they're showing off. Hence, news.SL33TBL1ND said:Why are you just reporting on this now? They've been showing off mechs for months.
Or you could just read how they actually allow customisation. http://mwomercs.com/news/2012/04/193-dev-blog-6-mechlabRottweiler said:It all depends on how they allow customization.
...snip bunch of speculation...
Have they been showing the Catapult for months?SL33TBL1ND said:Why are you just reporting on this now? They've been showing off mechs for months.
I think it was LRM 15 in each arm, 4 medium lasers in the torso, and jump jets was the primary configuration of the catapult(TR3025 if I remember correctly). Each of the successor houses militaries had their own take on many designs, so you may be remembering one of those variants. Later they added a variant with the arrow IV missile artillery system(TR3050), which was a fun variant to play with in Living Legends.Rottweiler said:Case in point, the Catapult- a 65-ton heavy 'mech, as I recall- used the 'Arms' location for the weapon pods you see. By taking out the hand and elbow actuators (1 space each) they basically had big boxes you could put weapons in, with shoulder actuators to provide rotation. The original had an LRM 20 in each, with I think 2 tons of ammo, plus the medium lasers in the torso.
I don't know about the system requirements, but for now I think it is a PC exclusive. As far as controllers go, their FAQ says:ssgt splatter said:I forget, is this a PC game only?
If so, will I be able to plug in a XBOX 360 controller or will it be keyboard controls only?
Does anyone know the system requirments for this game yet? I have a computer that can run Starcraft 2 fairly well but I don't know if it will run this game or not.
A bit cryptic, but that was written back in 2011 so yeah, it's possible you'll be able to get it working, or at least they are looking at control methods other than mouse+keyboard.Q. Will MechWarrior have support for custom mapping joysticks/other input devices? (multiple device support?)
A. We have partnered with some of the industry's biggest hardware manufacturers and will be doing our best to support all types of joysticks and flight systems.

Well, the latest mech they spoilered on the front page was the Raven. That's why I'm confused.Kahani said:And this is a new one they're showing off. Hence, news.SL33TBL1ND said:Why are you just reporting on this now? They've been showing off mechs for months.
The last mech they confirmed was in the game (officially at least) and showed concept art for was the Raven. This article was about the first actual in-game screenshots for the Catapult.SL33TBL1ND said:Well, the latest mech they spoilered on the front page was the Raven. That's why I'm confused.
