The MechWarrior Reboot could soon be in a trademark dispute with Harmony Gold (Robotech)

So far it's too early to say but if this spills over into a real trademark infringement battle the entire game could be derailed or certain mechs, logos, etc, will have to be pulled from the final product.
My personal opinon is that it's a bunch of BS. So Harmony Gold's argument is that BattleTech made in 1984 is just now copying RoboTech made in 1985, when it's pretty much a known fact that both series' have had very, very similar robots throughout their entire life spans...Does this make any sense?
Meh, frivilous law suit is frivilous.
Edit: I'd also like to add that there has been a long history of RoboTech vs BattleTech disputes throughout the course of both universes. It's kind of funny/sad that after almost 30 years both franchises still can't settle their disputes. It does always seem to be RoboTech trying to come after BattleTech though.
