Hey Escapist, I need your help. Luckily, it's on a topic that I'm sure you're ALL familiar with.

For a school assignment, I've been asked to show how the media portrays a certain issue or topic. Now, being the gaming nerd I am, I chose video games. I've decided to show how the media treats gaming as a scapegoat, or just negative in general.

So, would you be able to help me find some articles/videos/news stories to use as evidence in my presentation? I'd be great if the source was an authoritative one, but as long as they have fine spelling and grammar, it'll be okay.

Mainly because the people that work for it are dicks and they have nothing interesting to write about.

Throw a brick an you're bound to hit one. Look up the London Riots which they've been blaming on GTA. "SexBox" on Fox News about Mass Effect, the Columbine shooters playing Quake (if I remember correctly), Anders Brevik(?) who shot up that political camp in Norway cause he played CoD "for training".

Another good one is the article by a psychologist about how blaming video games is fudamentally racist because it mostly happens when middle-class white people commit murder since it's insanity to think they might have chosen to take that action, whereas other ethnicities... well that's how things are in the ghetto.

Really even seach on here and you'll find plenty.

Dude just do the assignment. I did it on the R18 ratings for games in Australia. The assignment isn't people hating games and you can't do "GAMES" as a topic. You need to find a controversial issue and examine the bias in sources which could very well be a PRO-game bias.

PS: Draft was due today and the real thing is due after the weekend...
