"I seriously can't wait to see what kinds of inappropriate things people come up with using the much expanded creation tools of LittleBigPlanet 2. Come early 2011, there won't just be genitalia levels, there'll be entire genitalia games."

Penis, vagina, penis, vagina, penis, vagina...and boobs. Permute. That's it.
Hah, you'd be wrong about me at least!
I'd make a level where you got to play inside Dr. Manhattans magical glowing body, as he does the penis-copter, letting you fly around. You'd have to fend off Nite Owl as he tries to grope some sweet boobage. How you ask? By initiating an encounter RPG style, and command Dr. Manhattan and his penis-lightsaber in a duel. In the end, he shrinks himself down and enters the vagina of Silk Spectre, so that he may live in her and be with her always, even if he does give her cancer of the ovaries (allegedly).
Ok, I was wrong. Also, get help. Fast.

I don't support this idea, mainly because of I am A-sexual and don't like constant sexual referring. But not really a big issue, I am just not going to buy the game, I'll let my euros be my voice.

But if someone wants to jump on a penis to whirl himself to air and collect chocolate nippels go ahead, I could care less.

Why can't people be MATURE!?
The only answer is: they are people. Many feel that they are entitled to everything and that they can do whatever they want. In theory, this is mostly true, but they fail to take others into consideration.

A separate LittleBigPlanet is a dumb idea...it'll just cause more trouble for the entire industry.

I say: let the market decide.

If people en masse truly don't approve, then it won't have a massive take-up. But I have the feeling it will :p

They're not forcing the content upon you, should they be selling/distributing it - in fact they're proposing ring-fencing it off so you can decide if you want to ignore its existence or not.

Most of the adult content probably won't be to my liking either, but if someone wants to play someone else's dick-themed level, I don't have any issues with that.
I don't get the whole "we must stonewall on adult themes to prove ourselves mature" attitude. S'not gonna be good in the long run imo ¬¬.

Well one solution would be to let users download levels from the internet (on a computer), then put them into the PS3 on a flash drive (I'm assuming a PS3 can read a flash stick).

Then just have a website where all the banned levels are and people can play them offline, away from the in game stuff kids will go to.

If you have enough 18+ warnings on the site to cover themselves or preferably just have nothing to do with it and let users run it whilst uploading their own banned creations, they should be ok.

But for all I know this is already possible and in place (I feel it should be), I don't have a PS3 or LBP.

Innocent Gamer: "Video games are a mature artistic medium that deserves 1st Amendment protection! The government cannot raise a parent's children for them!"

Anti-Gaming Dude in Washington: "Your honor, we would like to present Exhibit A: a game that allows you to distribute images of naughty parts to the world with a childlike demeanor called LittleBigPlanet Filth."

Okay, laughter aside this sounds like one of those 'hey wouldn't it be great if' ideas. Yes the game has the pontential of massives amounts of gonads but we all know the reaction of the anti-gamers, politicians and concerned parents.

However, there's a tiny part of me that is crying out of them to do it, despite the uproar it will cauase because hey, why shouldn't games have those R rated titles? And if anyone gets it for their kids, their fault of being a total dumbass.

Fuck LBP, when are we getting a Guitar Hero game for adults? I'm sick of all my Tenacious D songs being censored.

For some reason when I read the proposed title, instead I hear "Little Planet, Big Filth".

I can't help but think, sure I've drawn a wang on some of the diagrams, in a school biology textbook, but, I don't feel they need publishing to the wider world.

If someone's created a 'Half Life 2' or a 'Portal', but with cocks and tits, and the cocks and tits are necessary components of the gaming experience, then great, I'm all for it, but I believe it's more likely people have just gone 'look I can draw dongs on everything lolz'

Parents/Politicians: "I did not know LittleBigPlanet Filth had all this horrid contend when I bought it for my child! BURN THE DEVELOPERS!!"

Everyone else: "But Sony repeatedly stated that it was intended for adults only. They age-gated it and everything, and on the box it even has that big "R" sticker and the description on the back. Plus its called LittleBigPlanet filth. What else did you expect?"

Parents/Politicians: "... You obviously don't care about children."

Everyone else: *facepalm*

^That is assuming it would be released on a disk format.
Even if it was released as free DLC, there will still be a parent stupid enough to let their kid download it, thus sparking a chain of events.

You see, terribad parents? YOU'RE THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM.
