Him sitting there barking (hurr hurr pun), "god damnnit, god damnit, crap, furry, god damnit" does not accomplish anything. He's just sitting there swearing at people critiquing the trailer. We've already had intelligent responses to our concerns from the staff on the forums.

Another thing, the "it's a trailer" line does not work. A trailer should let someone know if something is worth watching to them. It is supposed to sell itself. If it doesn't do that, we won't buy it.
Take Disaster Movie ([link]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0UgCrZfjPsA[/link]) for example. From it we can tell that all the movie will sell are poor character impersonations with little actual comedy. They don't care enough about the subjects of parody to get anything more than a cheap, Halloween costume (Iron Man), they don't have a firm grasp of comedy (dropping a cow on Iron Man), and they steal jokes, and poorly rehash them (Zohan/baby foot thing). This is not a movie anyone should have to or want to see.
Similarly, this trailer shows a yippy angry chihuahua boss yelling at people to do things or they're fired, a nerd who is being verbose around a female character (who admits she is a token female and has no other personality whatsoever), and a hippy... all not doing anything. There are no jokes (maybe that last line from the hippy), we can tell it has a good cast of voice actors, but the characters are completely typical of anything we can find anywhere. The trailer doesn't make me want to watch the show.
I'm not prematurely saying this is a terrible series, and that nobody should watch this. I, myself, am still going to give the series a shot. I am merely pointing out that the trailer is unappealing. It lacks character, a sense of direction, and doesn't tell us why we should watch it. Yes, "it's a trailer," "it's a trailer," "it's a trailer." But a trailer is the only thing we have to work with, and it wasn't a very good trailer.

This answered a question I had about this show - whether it was intended to be sort of PG-rated, or more like Apocalypse Lane with its humor.

This may sound weird, but I think one of the problems with the first trailer was the lack of swearing. Anthropomorphic animals out of context always leave people confused over whether they're watching a kid's show or not. And having fuzzy/cute things with foul mouths can be a serious humor multiplier.

It certainly has a lot of potential and yes. Yes this series is going to be classified as a furry, not that there's anything wrong with that, but it does make "haters" as likely as the Sun rising every morning.

Haha, love the new trailer :). That's a lesson to people now, don't mess with the Escapist staff. Great way to basically kick the critics in the teeth and help win over a few more people.

Also, they're not furries. If they start wearing diapers, humping in public, and quit bathing, THEN they're furries. Until then, they're cartoons, just like Bugs Bunny or Biker Mice from Mars.
good thing to know a furry could sneak up and pick pocket you or similar sneaky actions since well...you have no clue how 80% of the average furry fans looks like, just the 20% everyone is paying attention to ;3

anyway OT: as other have pointed out stereotypical cast but I´m open to being surprised so I´ll see how this will go.

Nice one, Herr Pitts. Spontaneous and current.

Gary strikes me as the sort who's hiding a bone under his desk. Especially when Jennifer is around.

(You know, like a uh.. stress toy...)

Gary always makes me laugh. Easily my favorite character in this series.
I love you Susan!

But this turned out pretty damn funny. Kudos to Mr. Pitts and the crew. I think Bob might be my favorite character. :)

Cannot wait for tomorrow. Next Thursday going to be even crazier.

Not to sound like a suck-up, but it's the voice that does it. I quote him all the time. "That's a very good question, Roger!"...which tends to confuse people that aren't named Roger. Or who haven't actually asked a question.

Ah Hell, I just realized that some moron is going to mistake my last comment for a 'furry porn' reference. Some people can't seem to get their minds beyond furry porn.

Okay, the other trailers had me pretty "eh", but I nearly split my side laughing when Bob sidestepped in. I wasn't expecting him to be that big. The way he just stands there staring, jesus.

the wording of jennifer's file makes me worry about rule 36 being invoked...
Mmmm... Isn't 36 "If it exists, someone has a fetish for it"?
that's 34.

Ok some bits made me laugh.

But the line "it's just a trailer". The point of a trailer is surely to make a person want to watch something; your first one didn't do that at all.

Also "Animation takes a long time, a long time" doesn't mean we can't not like it. Personally I'm not fussed, I mean look at ZP that's little more then a power point presentation but its not noticeable when just used as a medium to tell jokes. However you didn't supply jokes in the first trailer so the medium was questioned. In this one I didn't even contemplate it until the dog with the tie mentioned it

However this seemed a little better, but doesn't feel me with that much confidence with the idea of the series as a whole; however apocalypse lane had its moments and perhaps so shall this. I'll give it a try

P.S say what you want; that is just Cuddles
