I can't blame you...i mean banshees...bitches be crazy.Ukomba said:What nice, well lit areas those are. Oh and simple skeleton enemies, I feel so comforted.
Mass Effect Husks are scarier than these things.
It's from a Game Informer article from a couple months ago. According to the article, they're called Feeders, and they're described as "what happens when a human isn't actually infected by a Swarmer or by a Divider head, but by necessity ends up eating the flesh of a turned necro."gigastar said:Seems every time i hear about this game the less of a chance that ill get it at all...
Where did you get that piece of info from?Compatriot Block said:Well, most of the enemies in those screenshots are the ones that result from living humans eating Necromorph flesh, usually out of desperation.
Im actually curious.
Not a bad idea, but the design is still poor. They're too plain and to well lit. They just look more goofy than scary.Compatriot Block said:It's from a Game Informer article from a couple months ago. Essentially, these aren't really necromorphs, so to the people saying they don't look like a necromorph at all, bingo.
The article also says that you'll find out whether the colonists on the planet turned to eating necromorph flesh to delay starvation, or as part of a Unitologist "communion" ritual, so my desperation remark may end up being untrue.
Given what weve seen of the Unitologists so far from the first 2 games, its highly probable that they have something to do with them. It wouldnt the first time theyve been creating Necromorphs to further thier cause either.Compatriot Block said:It's from a Game Informer article from a couple months ago. I can see your point, but I think that the "well lit" aspect is more for the screenshots' purpose than anything else. It's very possible that they specifically chose well lit shots to show what the enemy looks like as a whole, because a dark or blurry shot of a new enemy type doesn't demonstrate the design very well.Ukomba said:Not a bad idea, but the design is still poor. The thing is, showing off the design hurts the fear factor. Even if they keep them in shadow in the game, I still know what they look like now. It's like seeing a picture of the Amnesia monster. Still think they could have done more with the creatures than generic brown skeleton. Splicer like mutations, or Cthulhu like, even a more zombie style look would be superior. This things have no personality. Even adding a few tattered reminisce of clothing would help.Compatriot Block said:I can see your point, but I think that the "well lit" aspect is more for the screenshots' purpose than anything else. Also, if I remember correctly (very possible I'm missing some details), the Feeder's M.O. is sort of like a swarm-type enemy. I think I read that if they scream/shriek or whatever, hordes of other Feeders start popping out of vents, air-shafts and other monstery places.
The game was too scary, EA is doing us a favor. They're just so thoughtful.FargoDog said:The monster designs look nowhere near as gooey and wonderfully gross as they did in the first two games. They're actually very bland - to me anyway.

"Eeek! Get out of my kitchen, you fiend!"
Okay it's funnier in my head.
Maybe they're not showing the scarier monsters so they don't spoil it? Let's hope so, anyway.
That necromorph is totally making a run on the cookie jar.sky14kemea said:I dunno about you guys, but I found that last one hilarious.
