Meeting your Past Self?

Ok, so my story backing this goes like this:
I was watching the Muppets Christmas Carol shortly before going to have a shower (where I do all my thinkin') and shortly after seeing the Spirit of Christmas Past on there and the shadow of Scrooge's former life, it made me wonder what I would do if i could contact my younger self.

Then this got me thinking further, until I got these three questions...

'OK, so you go back-in-time and meet your younger self, what would you:
1) Give Him/Her?
2) Tell Him/Her?
3) Show Him/Her (within that time)?'

For the showing part, it has to be some sort of experience or lesson in something.

For me, it would go something like this:
1) My current iPod with headphones and ability to charge it; also need to be able to somehow sync its-self with my present iPod, so whatever I upload in the present, gets uploaded to my past.
2) 'To honestly take any oppertunity given to you, or atleast give it your fullest thought', unfortunately I've only learned this recently and it took me up until I was 18 to realise.
3) Fight Club, the film. Book wasn't as good as the film.

There we are. Your Turn.

Have a fun one,
Oli.

Assuming I could choose any past years I would choose the 17 or 18 past self.

1 I would give him a newspaper from my time about the recession which also inside it would mention the lotto numbers of that date.
2 I would say to him "I know you want to have a relaxing summer before going to uni but for your future sake, take up a summer job!!!"
3 I would show him a photo of my present self having fun with my mates from university (just to make sure my future influences does not divert him from not taking that uni course). Also the back of the photo is a message mention about the great friends he will meet.

Oooh, nice one.

Well, I'd go back to September 2009, and things would be something like this:
1) Give him a slap, and an SD with my music on. I like that idea *steals* :3
2) 'Don't f*** this up, get your act together and take a bloody good look at yourself.'
3) Probably show him me in... September 2010. Maybe that'll convince him to do things different.

Yeah, I live every day with crushing regret, what can I say><.
But yuh, I can't really go back to my younger self 'cos I'm only 16 at the moment haha.

ANYWAY, DEPRESSION OVER, HAPPY NEW YEAR GUYYYYSSSSS:D!

I would go back to November 2010. I found these awesome Christmas sweaters - you know; the woollen ones with reindeers on it in red or green - But never bought it since I saw no use in them, since Wool itches me to no end!

I would give myself the money and reason to actually buy one.
I would tell myself that it is a must have for something special in January 2011
I would show myself a picture of my current girlfriend.

Why?

I desperately need a gift for my girlfriend. She saw some girl at Uni with a sweater like that and she sort of hinted, that she would not mind getting one. I saw one at the store about a week before we got together. It is sold out now, and a long walk across several towns did not help me in finding an other sweater! SO I MUST BUY THAT ONE FROM THE PAST!

I'd go back to my 18 year old self and show him what classes to take during college so I can get the least amount of credits possible, knowing that I'd end up with a super awesome job later on.

1) Nothing
2) Nothing
3) Nothing

As much as I hated my past self for being such a coward, changing his life would change me, and I like me...

I'd give my former self a kick in the head.

I'd tell my former self to embrace independence and solitude.

I'd show my former self how to use certain patterns of thinking to maintain control. It's more effective than unveiled restriction.

1) Give me a bar of chocolate for turning out so wonderfully.
2) Tell me how wonderfully I'm gonna turn out.
3) I'd show me several things that prove how wonderfully I'll turn out.

Travelling back to early 2006!
1) I would give myself a copy of Diablo III(I dont travel back until it's released!). Finding a computer that can run it might take a year or two, but I'd be first!!! If that doesn't work out I'd give myself a slap in the face.
2) Tell me to stop being so hot headed and stubborn, to stick with my friends, not to go on a sabbatical from school and not to dump my current girlfriend.
3) Show me... My awesome gamerscore on Xbox360 and PS3. Hell yeah!

Current to me from five years ago.
-I'd give: I'd give myself a warning not to make some seriously stupid mistakes.
-I'd tell: I'd tell myself to not to go with a certain girl while another, much more loyal one will wait five years for me. (True story. I'm with the loyal girl now, she waited five years, and forgave me for my screw-ups. See? Happy ending. If you're curious, message me. If not, then whatever.)
-I'd show: I'd show myself that the future, despite how bleak it can be, can also be filled with hope.

Here's to a good New Year to you all on the Escapist, by the way. Live it up in '11.

I'd give my past self a bullet in the brain. For one thing it would make the world a better place as I would not be around to screw up my life and the lives of everyone around me. For another thing, I hate myself that much.

I'd tell him "That's for being such a worthless piece of shit!"

I doubt I would have time to show myself anything, but if I had to I would show him every social activity I ever ruined for other people. That'd get me in the right mindset to die.

I'd tell him to invest in Apple. Then I'd show him my Ipod and what it can do.

I'd also warn my past self not to take Statistics in my first semester at college, that shit was tough!

I'm from your future.

Well...not really...just thought my screen name might give you a jump :p
I bet you're not that bad ;)

OT:
1) Take the Internet away.
2) Stay off the Internet. Forever. And read more graphic novels. And study harder! And save your money. Etc.
3) Give him Maus the graphic novel. Make the little bugger sad >:)

I would slap him in the face and tell him stop being so lazy you son of a ***** and get to work also change schools because that one is going to hold you're High School papers and will make you repeat the damned thing again (I know it's illegal I sued and nothing and was completely ignored) and do not for any reason move to Queretaro because you will miss a school year and become addicted to WoW for 2 months! that reminds me when you but WarCraft III make sure it is WarCraft III and not WoW before you leave the store.

Hm... I would go back to the year 2000 and try to stop 9/11, just to piss of Bush and see how f*d up the timeline would become.
So I would...
1)give my earlier self a box of evidence of the event..
2)tell myself about it (duh!) and...
3) show myself... uh... I don't know... FFIX?
