Now all that I need is for Tetris Block to be confirmed as a character, and I can buy this game and do nothing but play it for months.

My only concern is I still prefer a gamecube controller to the WiiU pad, particularly for Smash Bros. Since its not gamecube compatible (And as such has no controller ports for the classic GC controllers), I fear I'll not enjoy it quite as much for lacking my ideal controller. Of course there are those attachments to the wii-motes that are of similar build, so perhaps there's hope yet.

There is an adapter you can buy that lets you plug a gamecube controller into Wii or WiiU controllers, and it works with any game with classic controller or gamepad pro support. It's not an official accessory, but I've heard it works well. That's probably what I'll wind up doing, because yeah, the gamecube controller is one of my favourite of all time, and I can't imagine smashing with anything else.

I always preferred X to the original Mega Man, but this was still pretty cool.

It'd be cool if X was an alternate skin for him, a la Link and Dark Link, and Captain Falcon and Blood Falcon.

Woohoo! I knew there was a reason to keep hold of my 3DS! Yay! I do hope they are not the only new characters though... and as long as Pit and Ike are still in, and that they do a better job at the chalenge mode I will be happy!

I'm gonna say there's a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge chance of Ike being usurped by Chrom. If you have played Awakening, you will understand why. Also, it seems like he would have more of a Roy style of fighting which would be a welcome return.

Well, I kinda went a bit nuts when I saw the .gif, so I think "Bullshit!" fits a bit more for me.
Also, anyone else notice that the coins Mario drops in the Megaman trailer are star coins? Hmm... Is it significant, or not...

I don't really like SSB, this does not change my opinion. I like that coins flew out of mario when the saws were thrown though, nice detail.

I Would personally recommend the classic controller pro, I've been using it to play Project M lately and it works wonderfully, still prefer the GC controller but these are a very good substitute and have that extra shoulder button the gamecube was lacking.

Megaman is pretty much the perfect reveal character for hype (short of Goku at least) and I am hopeful for new smash, I will be buying it either way but I hope the feel is more melee than brawl and NO TRIPPING.

That was my reaction. Normally I'd be upset that she gets a spot over more iconic characters, but you have to grant that wii fit did rake in a huge casual market for nintendo and deserves recognition.

Moreover, I'm willing to forgive a lot of SSB 4 disappointing me with the roster, since Mega Man is in it, that makes it automatically the best SSB roster yet.

I am so very prepared for this. One of classic platformer gaming's icons in the genre-making 2D party fighter? I'm game. Nintendo somehow manages to do better by Mega Man in a minute and a half than Capcom has done to it in recent memory.

Gah... Megaman... in Smash...

This is AWESOME! That trailer you guys... that trailer. It had weapons switching, and Rush, and the Yellow Devil, and the Get Weapon theme, and Classic Megaman, and all the sound effects are perfect, and HOLY SHIT THIS IS HAPPENING IS THIS REAL LIFE.

Next to Sonic, Megaman was always the one character I wanted in Smash. And now...

My...mind just can't wrap around it. It's an astounding paradox. It is, quite simply, stupid and lame and somehow at the same time awesome: SHE'S USING THE LEGITIMATE, REAL-WORLD PRACTICE OF YOGA AS A FIGHTING STYLE! Eat it, Dhalsim!
