I'm a huge Mega Man fan, especially of the Zero series, though I still love the classic, ZX, and X franchises as well. And that's why I'm really hoping this is an early and cruel April Fool's Day joke on Capcom's part, as Mega Man Universe has been cancelled. [http://www.blisteredthumbs.net/2011/03/mega-man-universe-canceled/] For those who are unaware, the game was to be a downloadable remake of Mega Man 2 with music by The Megas [http://themegas.bandcamp.com/album/get-equipped] featuring customizable claymation-esque (if not full-on claymation; I honestly can't tell) characters, ranging from the original Mega Man, herein called Rockman, to a new Mega Man design created for the new art style, called Mega Man in the game, to Mega Man from the American box art for Mega Man 1 to Ryu from Street Fighter. Additionally, it was supposed to have an advanced level editor and sharing system, a la Little Big Planet. At the core of the title, it seemed to be Little Big Planet: Mega Man 2 Edition. Especially with how well Mega Man 9 and 10 have been doing, I cannot see a reason for Capcom scrapping this.
I'm terribly disappointed, but I have heard people who are, for some reason, glad to see the title dead. Thoughts, Escapist?
