Hope it gets soemthing good. I'd like to see it a lot more in VGC/ Smogon/ whatever. It looks like it could get levitate and is going towards a more offensive build, which would be awesome.
Still, waiting for mega Flygon though. Shit would be so cash.

I'm not surprised. In all honesty I would have been pissed if there wasn't a Mega Metagross because when I think of Steven, I remember his Metagross. So if the Gen III remake didn't Mega Evolve it, then there would've been some problems I think... >.>
I wouldn't mind it having a bit more speed, but looking at the aesthetic of it seems to point towards having some ridiculous attack buff, and heck, maybe it also gets Levitate for an absolutely devastating 'Mon that can only be taken out by having to stock some super fast and squishy Fire type.
On only a slightly less serious note, it was to be expected Metagross was getting a mega evolution form, since it's Steven's signature pokemon and all.
Here's hoping Milotic, Breloom and Flygon also get the same treatment. (Screw Salamence.)

Mega Salamence is wholly unnecessary though. Salamence is already top tier as it is. Metagross & Flygon are good, but in need a solid boost.Sean Hollyman said:

Yeah, and I don't like the fact that they wasted megas on them either! Megas should be reserved for Pokemon who need a boost to stay relevant in the XY metagame, sort of as a power creep compensator.Sean Hollyman said:
Neat, poor Metagross took a huge hit in gen six once steel did not resist ghost and dark anymore. Giving it levitate would make sense, getting an immunity would be a good trade for the two new weaknesses it got as I just mentioned.

Is it just me or does Mega Metagross look like a combination of a single Metagross and a Metang?

Metagross was my jam back in Emerald! Now, I'm not up to snuff on abilities or stats or why Levitate is so awesome, but that design reminded me why I liked it so much. Glad to see my Meatyghost might have a role in the next generation that I may be a part of if I happen to get back into Pokemon.
Basically for Metagross it means that Earthquake, a super effective move against steel types along with other ground moves, can't touch him. It removes a weakness while he's mega evolved, basically.Malbourne said:
